How I Store Baby Clothes

This little guy just turned two a couple months ago, and I am still in awe. TWO!  Time literally does fly by. It’s hard to believe he was just a little nugget that I held in my arms. Now he is definitely looking more and more like a big boy. In just two short years, he has grown so much, including outgrowing his clothes. Now that we have transitioned into summer, I’ve been packing up all of the clothes that are too small. It is so fun (yet sad!) to go through everything and see how tiny he was and how big he is now. It blows my mind how much they grow and develop over such a short period of time. Incredible.

I recently cleared out Bryce’s dresser with various items he has outgrown. This is just one of several batches of clothes and accessories– there are lots more! We don’t have a ton of closet space to use those big, bulky plastic totes so I’ve been using an awesome product that I got at Lowe’s, Ziploc® Space Bags®. We have a bunch of these in various sizes and labeled by size, season, and clothing type for Bryce’s stuff.

I recently picked up a new stash of these and brought Bryce along, where he thoroughly enjoyed a ride in the “car” shopping cart in the photo at the top of this post. (Sidenote: this kid loves home improvement stores. He goes with his Daddy on the regular and loves pointing out all the tools, lawnmowers and other hardware items. So cute.) Lowe’s carries tons of different sizes depending on what you need.

These are perfect not only for Bryce’s stuff, but I also use them for all kinds of other items, like bedding & pillows, out of season clothing like sweaters & coats and even maternity clothing. The possibilities are endless when you pick out the right bag for what you need to store!

I love that Ziploc® Space Bag® products protect against bugs, moths, dirt, mildew, and other odors that might occur within common storage areas. I can pull something out when I am looking for something and know that the items are fresh and preserved. They are also airtight, waterproof and reusable so I can use them time and time again if I need to re-pack one or add items to a bag.

Whether it’s baby clothes, maternity clothes or out-of-season items like sweaters, I’ve found this to be the best (and most effective) storage solution out there.
