Thought you were going to see an outfit post of me in sweatpants?! Naaah. Although, I think that could be a hilarious April Fool’s post…hmmm!
Truth is, I’ve been off work since December 20th (our company has a holiday shutdown every year), and today was supposed to be my first day back at work. However, it has been snowing nonstop since New Years’ Day and we are projected to get a CRAPTON of lake effect snow today (clearly, an official unit of measurement). Road conditions are not safe and I was able to work from home today instead.
Don’t get me wrong—I loved every second of being off of work, but I am excited to stop wearing sweats every day all day and night and start dressing up in normal, non-elastic waistband clothes. Am I the only one that feels this way?!
Linking up with Mix and Match Fashion.
I’ll be honest, it was a rough going to work today. I resorted to black pants, a sweater, and a scarf which is kind of like my version of work sweatpants :-)
I really like that cardigan with that top in your outfit, though!
Oh I can’t imagine! Was your commute longer than usual? Your outfit sounds comfy and super practical!
I am happy they let you work from home today. Can you believe all the snow we got?! Side note – we should go sledding. Also – I don’t have sleds.
I was feeling this way after being sick forever – get me outta sweat pants! I finally wore jeans last night, just at home. I almost always wear jeans when I work from home, because wearing sweats all the time makes me feel blah. Not enough… support. LOL!
Me too!! And YES to sledding! We can use plastic garbage bin lids. Or cafeteria trays. Hmmmm!
Yeah I would have to wear “normal” clothes if I worked from home…otherwise I’d get used to elastic…then I’d go to put on “real pants” when I had to venture outside of my house and I guarantee they wouldn’t fit haha! Totally hear you on the whole support issue too!!
I would not mind spending my days in pajamas. But I know what you mean, after a while, it gets to be too much. Cute top by the way.
Exactly! I was craving some dress up time after being in PJs all day and all night! Thanks for reading Anu!
That’s one drawback to me working from home all the time, I do miss wearing “real” clothes sometimes. I wear jeans, but don’t really put any thought into what I wear since no one sees me. And I’d totally join in a sweatpants outfit post link-up.
Yeah I would love to be able to work from home…much less time getting ready, putting on makeup, doing hair, etc. but at the same time, I think I would have to at least put on “real clothes” AKA no elastic waistband so I don’t feel too comfy haha!
And I should totally do a sweatpants link-up…that would be EPIC!
April Fool’s Day, let’s do it! I’ll put together the most polished sweats outfit ever.
Oh, it’s on! I’m making a note of it in the calendar…hopefully it will get a ton of participation…it better! lol
A good weekend for me is one where I don’t wear real pants, so I’m totally with you. :)
Amen sistah!
I went back to work today after being off since the 20th too…it was rough! While it was nice to have a reason to put some effort into an outfit today, I gladly curled back up in my sweatpants when I got home, especially after dealing with the snow we got on the way home. :)

Ooooh it’s so tough. But a short week is a nice way to transition into it. I am not looking forward to Monday! And you raise a good point- I always jump into sweatpants or yoga pants right when I get home! :-)
Love this outfit. I totally know what you mean about getting dressed up. I love that feeling, although wearing sweats every once in a while is also nice.
Happy New Year!!!!!
