Do you wear leggings as much as I do? Not only are they great for working out, but they are so.dang.comfortable that they are perfect for casual, athleisure looks and even dressier options.
Everlane just launched their own collection of leggings – in core & seasonal colors – and after reviewing a pair, I have to say they are pretty good! The premium performance fabric is buttery smooth and light. It is sweat-wicking with compression (aka smoothing!), but also fairly matte (I did notice a touch of sheen to them). They are great for workouts and going out and about in public. And true to Everlane form, the fabric is also sustainably produced from 58% recycled nylon and without harmful chemicals and dyes.
Sizing Notes: I ordered my true size in Everlane’s Perform Legging, medium in a ankle length. (I am 5’4″ and prefer the 7/8 legging look.) They also carry a regular length with a longer inseam. The leggings feel snug as I put them on, but once they are on they stay put. I wore them for a Peloton ride, for a strength workout and around the house playing with the kiddos and the high rise stays put. The top band folds over a little bit when I bend, but it curled back up so wasn’t a big deal. A squat test showed the slightest bit of see through, but again, I was looking for it. So take that for what it’s worth, and keep in mind I only tried the black version. Although they don’t have a side pocket (which I find incredibly convenient and functional), I do like that these are plain, which makes them better for dressier looks. No seam on the outside either makes for a continuous, smooth and polished look too!
If you need a pair of leggings, definitely check out Everlane’s Perform Legging! You’ll be seeing these leggings often (and on my IG stories), but let me show you three easy styling ideas…from workout to athleisure to dressy!
3 Ways to Style the Everlane Perform Leggings
Shop the look: Shoes (under $20!) / Legging / Top
This is my go to most days- perfect for storytime at the library, errands, etc. and doubles as my workout outfit so I am ready to get to it once naptime rolls around in the afternoon.
Shop the look: Leggings / Shoes / Striped Tee (similar) / Jacket
The great thing is how versatile these leggings are if you throw on some casual basics. The leggings are high quality and don’t scream “exercise clothes.” Pairing it with a sneaker and layers totally works for an athleisure/casual look!
Shop the look: Boots (similar) / Leggings / Scalloped Tank / Sweater Blazer
The seamless sides and relatively matte finish on these leggings totally makes them an option to dress up. They key is length to cover the booty. I added my sweater blazer for coverage and went with an all black base then added the neutrals over it for a more tied together look.
So go grab yourself a pair of these leggings! If you’re new to Everlane (one of my favorite brands for high quality basics) use my referral link to get free shipping on your first order!
