One of my favorite style bloggers, Erin over at Loop Looks, has a great series called “You Pick Wednesday.” She basically encourages people to reach out with style-related questions or requests, from mixing patterns to how to wear a striped blazer. Recently, a question came up about what to wear with navy (see full post here.)
Navy is a tricky color, but luckily Erin came to the rescue with several looks. One of these looks included navy, green and cream.
I had a items in all three of these colors, but I never would have thought to put them together…until NOW! The look is a bit more casual than the look above, but the color combination is spot on, AND I already had these items in my closet!
Navy top: Gap Outlet
Sweater: Loft Outlet
Earrings: NY&Co
Belt: Target
Ring: Vintage
Denim: Loft Outlet
Boots: Aldo
I have some nude flats and wedges I was considering instead of the boots, but it’s zero degrees here in Chicagoland. So I went with my fleece lined boots for the warmness factor.
And I love my ring…a vintage beauty!
Thanks for the inspiration Erin! (And if you don’t already follow Erin’s blog, you should!)

Oh my gosh!!! Thank you so much for using my outfit suggestion! That makes me feel so good :-) And, of course, I love your outfit. Perfect way to use what you already have in your closet!
No thank YOU! :-) I totally wouldn’t have thought of that color combination!
This looks fantastic! I really like the boots and the belt… and that ring!
Why thank you! :-) Yeah I have a small collection of vintage rings I’ve been trying to wear more…it’s one of my favorites!
It turned out great! I love that green jewel tone!
Thanks…it’s really growing on me too! :-)
