Since it is practically summer outside in Chicago, I figured I’d bust out one of my summer jersey dresses. I got this sleeveless one from Target last summer. But since it is January, I needed a little more coverage so I added the boots and my mint open front cardigan and a belt. The result? A fun navy/mint ensemble perfect for a summer-like day like today…in January…in Chicago. Wait. Whaaat?! Crazy weather!
I also experimented with my hair this morning since I washed my hair last night, so I attempted Kate’s Barely Wave Hair Tutorial on The Small Things Blog. Not bad for a first try (and for the most uncoordinated person when it comes to doing hair!)
Dress: Target
Cardigan: J.Crew Outlet
Boots: Aldo
Belt: Target
Necklace: Lia Sophia
With this awesome weather going on, I really want to get outside for a run (and get Izzy a walk outside for once), but I have a late work meeting so I think it’ll be dark by the time I get home. Boo. Guess I’ll settle for another treadmill interval routine. This new one from Iowa Girl Eats should go by fast and doesn’t look terribly demanding. I just get so tired by the time I come home from work that I don’t want to do much of anything except hop into some PJ’s and watch TV and eat! I think it’s a cold, dark, blustery, winter thing. What about you? Are you motivated to workout after a full work day?

Mint is gorgeous on you, and I think your hair came out great!
Thanks Tara! :-)
I love this combo! Such a pretty color combo :)

Thanks Heather! These colors really do work hand-in-hand!
I love the mint cardigan! So cute! I love mint but for whatever reason I don’t own anything in that color! I should probably change that :)
Thanks! Yeah you should definitely change that…mint in the closet is a must! :-)
haha your face did look blue! :-) love it! I’m your newest follower! I’d love for you to visit when you have time.

Thanks so much…and congrats on your weight loss- that’s impressive!
Love the navy/mint combo!
How was that workout? I usually want to sit around after working all day too!
Thank ya! The workout was great! I was feeling good so I modified it a bit and did 3 min @ 6.2 and 2 min @ 6.7, then alternated between 6 and 7 at the end.
Love the color combo, and you look great! :)
Thanks Amanda! Just checked out your Etsy store…so cute & creative!
I am NOT a morning person so all my workouts are done either at lunch or after work.
Yeah I am the same way but some days I force myself to get an early AM workout when I have a work event after hours. Do you have a gym at work, or do you go to one nearby? I would LOVE to have a gym at work, but that’s not going to happen at a nonprofit!
We have a little tiny baby gym in one of our buildings but there are no free weights which is what I would use. So if I workout at lunch it’s to run outside.
yay! I love the navy and mint combo!!
Chic on the Cheap
I love mint and navy together! I so wish my hair could hold a curl :-( Your hair looks so cute!
Thanks Maria! Yeah my hair looses it’s curl by the end of the day…but a quart or so of hairspray usually does the trick :-)
Love this outfit! That cardigan is gorgeous. Love how you used that belt to define your waist. So cute!
Thanks Sierra! Belts really do work wonders!!
Love that you paired navy with mint..I must try this! Thanks for linking up!

Thanks Erin! Yeah I got inspiration on this color combo from Erin at Loop Looks- it goes so well together! Thanks for stopping by!
Moving is so difficult and frustrating, but the best part is definitely purging old items and starting new. Good luck with getting everything together and moved in. I hope you’ll share some pictures of the house!
