For this month’s Mom Style Remix item, I was excited to see cardigans featured for May. They are a versatile layer through all the seasons, and obviously, you don’t have to be a Mama to rock them.
So today I put together a little round-up of some of my favorite outfits featuring a cardigan. As you can see- I own several- open front, drapey, cocoon, button-up, you name it. And color-wise, I run the gammet- prints to neutrals to colors. #sorrynotsorry
I had fun going through past blog posts and picked out a few looks: two from pre-baby (coral and yellow, bottom right two looks), while pregnant (orange and red, bottom left two looks) and post-baby (top row). Just goes to show that cardigans can be a great completer piece in various phases of life! I linked to the full blog post for each outfit below…

Bottom row: one | two | three | four
For this most recent look, I paired up some solid colors and wore this to dinner at a place that has an amazing fish boil over the border in Wisconsin (sidenote: it is SO delicious and such a hole-in-the-wall spot!)
And now that I see the photos of my look, I’m not so crazy about the black denim with the sneakers…thinking jeans would have looked better. Thoughts?

Love seeing this mix of cardigans because I own a similar one to pretty much each type showcased. Outfit ideas abound! That plaid one is so great for winter – love a monochromatic outfit topped with something like that. And gingham + cardigan in a matching color is always a favorite easy uniform. Plus I have to enjoy that one with the New Balances since I can totally copy, given I have the exact same pair :)
Thanks for joining us again!
I love the plaid one too- most of mine are solid colors so this was a welcome addition to my cloest for sure. And I’ll look to you on more outfits with those New Balance sneaks too :-)
Forgive me, I am a costco noob- where do you find stuff like that tshirt?! Is it just in the huge maze in the center that I’m too intimidated to venture into (especially with husband and toddler in tow)… Please tell me more (and I guess stock varies at different stores so maybe I just need to keep an eye out?)? I’m a new reader of yours and really enjoying it :)
Hi Maura- thanks for reading! You are so right- the middle section with the clothes can be quite overwhelming. I was actually by myself when I ventured in so that helped. I looked at Costco’s website because often they carry it there too in addition to stores, but I didn’t find the tees on there this time. And yes, stock does vary by store– I would just take a peek next time you are there and maybe you’ll be lucky! They didn’t have a ton of stock compared to their other clothing items so not sure if they were transitioning it out. And FYI on sizing- I’d size up. I normally wear a M and the L was just a bit longer in the torso and quite similar in the fit everywhere else. Hope that helps!
So many cute looks! I think the top left is my favorite!
Thanks Caroline! I love the monochromatic base with the patterened cardi- a fave!
