Ahh swimsuit season. Finding the right one can be tough. And especially tough post-baby. Things may have shifted, and your body is just different than it used to be. For me, I doubt that I will ever opt to wear a two-piece (regardless if I had a six-pack and was overflowing with self-confidence, but personally, I think it’s more a modesty thing from my perspective as a wife + mama). That said, I did find a one piece that is the bomb dot com that I had to share with you.
And it’s from Target. Surprise surprise!
What do I love about it?
Well, it’s modest enough and covers all the right places, but is still fashion-forward and not like the typical one piece. The patterns are fun and give it some dimension, the cutouts are great and the detail on the back is lovely. Plus, you can adjust the ties to be as loose/tight as you need it to be.
And the best part? It’s under $40. Win!
Interestingly enough, it also looks a lot like this designer Trina Turk swimsuit, which is $148. Coincidence? I think not…
If you do order, it, I’d recommend sizing up. And fair warning- this thing is hard to figure out how to get on the first time…I must have looked like I was trying to solve a Rubik’s cube or something :-)

Target is really killin it the swim department. Similar styles/elements from Kate Spade, J. Crew and other designers if you ask me! Here are a few more cute ones:

Target is totally knocking it out of the park with their swimsuits! I do NOT need another swimsuit, though, which is sad. I rarely wear the ones I currently own.
Also, the most recent swimsuit I did buy confuses me every time I put it on, too. Those strappy backs do require some kind of engineering degree to figure out.
I’m thinking I’ll be wearing one a lot more with swim lessons, open tot swim during the summer and beach time at my parent’s house (or that’s my thought anyways!) OH, and for hotel stays where I ALWAYS forget to pack one!
And seriously! If someone could see how perplexed I was, it would have been hilarious. #thestruggleisreal
Target has some adorable options! I love that pink one with the scallops!
Me too! Reminds me of my J.Crew scalloped dress, and the pink is so fun!
