Remember when it was nearly 70 degrees a couple weeks ago…in November? Yeah, I do. Seems like a distant memory. I was all kinds of confused with what to wear. The calendar was telling me one thing while the air outside told me another. So I thought it was the perfect opportunity to wear my cutout shoulder sweater.  A little bit of warmth and a little bit of cool.

I paired it with my favorite Zella leggings in navy. These are definitely thicker than the cheaper brands out there and definitely more secure feeling if that makes sense. The fabric is moisture-wicking and dries quickly so it’s great for workouts (especially with a seamed pocket for keys when you are out on a run), but I often times wear them when I’m not working out too. They are really flattering and do a supreme job at sculpting. I’ve had these for well over a year and they have held up great (I hang dry mine).

I elevated this otherwise plain outfit with a beautiful plaid scarf that I received from Happiness Boutique. It is a square blanket scarf, and to be honest, I’ve always struggled with how to wear them without looking like I was being eaten alive by it. Instead, I draped it around my neck and let the ends hang to show the vibrant colors in the plaid print. I love how an accessory can add the finishing touch to an outfit…definitely gives it a festive vibe!
