This outfit has been a go-to outfit formula for me lately: leggings + cozy top + a finishing pieces like necklace or a scarf. Perfect for days at home with a toddler. Then I make simple swaps based on my day: if there are errands outside the house, I might add a vest. Or if I want to squeeze in a workout in the basement, I replace the sweater with a tank top or t-shirt and get to it, because nap time=Mama’s productivity time. And I need that quiet time some days!
Speaking of other things this Mama needs? Dry shampoo. It really works wonders. Case in point: these photos. It had been 3 days since I’ve shampooed it. I’ve read about the benefits of shampooing less often and finally joined that bandwagon. I used to shampoo daily and my hair would get so oily just by the end of the day. But now that I’ve “trained” it to go longer between washes, it’s been so much better. And by day three, adding a little dry shampoo is just what I need before I wash on day four.
Another thing Mama needs (and all gals in the Midwest for that matter?) Duck booties. I got these a year or so ago—my go-to for the transitional weather periods like spring and fall. Pretty perfect given the weather we are experiencing in Chicagoland. Easier (and more versatile) to get on versus rain boots or snow boots, and your feet don’t overheat either. They’re waterproof but still stylish and easy to wear with most outfits. Definitely recommend them…and I included a few different options below, including some sale options!
Anyone else go a bit between washes? What other products do you use? Do you feel duck boots are versatile too?

Wearing my duck booties today, too! Paired mine with distressed jeans and a flannel shirt.
Ooh, I need to do it with a button up- I have a black plaid flannel one that would work! Seriously, LOVE those booties. #twinning
My hair is so fine and thin if I skip washing, it’s so limp and blah. But, maybe if I trained it, it would work!! This is totally a go to outfit for me too, leggings for the win!

Pumps and Push-Ups
That’s exactly how my hair was too! Training it was tough (had some blah hair days there) but so worth it in the end.
I agree. Duck booties and dry shampoo both make me happy! I’m addicted (only slightly joking) to the Living Proof version!! Stopping by from the Confident Twosday linkup!

Thanks Jane!
Love the booties,
Do you leave the laces loose like this? Is this more comfy?
The laces come loose like that– it makes it easy if you opt to wear thicker socks with it. But they certainly stay on my feet with regular socks with the laces that way too!
