Toddlers are messy. Really messy. I legitimately have some form of peanut butter, ketchup or some other remnants of a meal on my clothes in some way, shape or form on the daily. And that’s where the trusty denim comes in…
Denim is lovely for a couple reasons: 1) it’s fairly stain resistant and 2) it’s also machine washable, and it gets better with time. Besides being super durable, it can remixed in a variety of ways: pants, tops, around the waist, you name it.
What else can you do? Wear denim with denim. At first I was hesitant about the “Canadian Tuxedo” look, but adding the vest helped ease me into this whole double the denim idea. But you know what? I think it works. It’s easy, practical and chic…because celebrities and bloggers alike are doing it. And if they are, it has to be cool right?

Thanks Yasmin!
Definitely think the vest helps break up the blues, like you said. That’s how I’d do it! Nice work, Momma!
Thanks Steph. Yeah, it definitely needed something– wasn’t fully prepared to do a true Canadian tuxedo :-)
Very cute look. I got that vest but in the black and white. Still have to style it and actually wear it haha.
I saw that color at my local Sam’s and was tempted…so cute.
