Sweater (exact, ethically made option)
Pants (old from The Limited, what I’ll buy once I wear these out)
Booties (exact)
Necklace (made by me!)
Going for an all-black palette is an easy way to get dressed and get out of the house quickly. I wore this outfit to work and to church recently, and it worked well for both situations. Something about the monochromatic look is chic and effortless. And to warm it up, I added the cognac booties and simple necklace. And since I’m a fan of matching my shoes to accessories, I totally would have worn my crossbody tote with it if I wasn’t carrying my laptop bag to work…
In other news…was anyone else bummed to hear that The Limited was closing? These are my favorite dress pants and have lasted me through several years. I’ve had to re-attach buttons and secure the hemline on the pant legs, but I just don’t want to part with them. But when that time comes, I’m going to invest in this pair. I’ve heard great things about them in terms of comfort and fit from other bloggers.
Are you a fan of dual-purpose outfits? Anyone else a fan of The Limited?

I love that look too. Easy & simple. I love how you used brown shoes with it to warm it up. I did not know Limted was closing! I do like them for some things. Wow that is a shock. I love dual purpose clothing it is my altime fav and now I no longer have seprate winter -Summer outfits really ( other than a couple of pair of shorts for hot days) I use my tank tops for example all year round in different roles than I do in summer. Love your blgo and happy to find it at mollys link up today.
Me too! I hesitate to put away my summer items because you can repurpose them for the season, like the tank tops you mention. Plus, since I am paring down my closet, I prefer having all my clothes visible in one place!
I live for dual purpose outfits! Love all black look- I’ll have to try this soon!
All black is such an effortlessly chic look. Timeless and always in style. And so easy to get different looks by swapping out for different shoes, jewelry, scarves, etc.
This looks so cozy. I love a good all black outfit, and that is such a great necklace!
I’m with ya Laura! Something about all black is effortlessly chic and never goes out of style!
I know a lot of women who love wearing black for ease!! And then adding in the accessories makes it all your own! How perfect!

Exactly Jodie! It’s essentially a blank canvas that can be customized with accessories from scarves to shoes to jewelry- love outfit formulas like that!
I agree, monochrome can be so chic! I love that you did the black on black with shoes and a necklace that stands out. I’d totally wear this!
