I wore this outfit on Monday, after our long weekend at the cabin. Needless to say, it was one of those days where I struggled to get back into the ‘ol work routine and was running late- so I just let my hair air dry and threw on this Merona Target Crepe Shift Dress by Merona get and layered it with a blazer over it. Perfect for the humidity (and for the blasting AC in side the office!)
Shop the look:
Blazer- Target (also worn here in one of my favorite outfits to date)
Dress- Target (also styled by Franish!) sold out, but similar option
Belt- Old Navy (similar)
Shoes- Savers (similar)
Earrings- Banana Republic Outlet (option)

Thanks Agi…I appreciate it!
What a cute striped dress! Love your blazer too!
Thank you Rachel! It was a Target styled outfit kind of day I suppose!
I love how it turned out! Your earrings really compliment the look! I wish I could air dry my air, but it just keeps getting bigger and bigger as it dries…my husband may or may not call me simba. ;)
Thanks Laura! I love wearing earrings in a solid color- nice bold accent! LOL…you know I’d kill for curly hair! Ahh the saga continues…
I’ve seen that dress on so many people in the city! It must be really comfortable.
So THAT’S where all the Chicago stock in this dress went! I couldn’t find it anywhere so my friend in Ohio bought it and mailed it to me haha! It’s super comfy- almost like PJ’s!
Oh man, I’m pretty sure every Monday is a wet hair day for me. I do not do well recovering from the weekend! I lOVE the shiftdress!
Amen sistah! “On Mondays, we wear shift dresses and wet hair…” :-)
ah, I love this dress in all the different patterns/colors. I almost bought this one, but it seemed too short on me. Knee-length would be perfect, but I’m too tall for it, I guess!
Oh bummer! Yeah sometimes their dresses are too short on me too. And the juniors dresses are like mini dresses so I can’t do those lol.
That dress is so cute! And how great is it that you hair looks so pretty with no effort!
You are so sweet Anna Belle- thank you!
What a fab dress! I am loving that print!
Thanks Lisa! I love that it wasn’t just plain stripes- something a little out of the box!
Such a great target find. I always love a good striped dress and this one mixes patterns and colors in a beautiful way.
Thanks Lyd! I think that’s why I was drawn to the dress- so easy to match red/teal/blue/black to it and have a ton of options!
Valerie,
It was so fun meeting you yesterday and I’m loving your blog!!!
So nice meeting you too Laura! Hoping we can meet up for a run sometime together too! Are you doing any local races in the next few months? Fort2Base perhaps?
This dress was a great find, the kind of piece that makes getting dressed easier b/c it does all the work for you. You can easily throw on any combination of black/white/blue/red accessories and be done. You may have been rushing, but it sure doesn’t look like it :-)
My thoughts EXACTLY Ele- I love that the dress can pull so many colors- makes a coordinated outfit easy!
OMG I LOVE this dress. And in London – all I did was air dried hair, and it kind of was my favorite thing about it :) My hair had some time to get back to being much healthier than it had been!
Thanks lady! I think I would do well as a Londoner then! It definitely does wonders for your hair without hair dryers and curling irons for sure! Welcome back by the way!
I really love this outfit, Valerie! That dress looks lovely on you, and the navy blazer was a great addition to give it a professional boost! I loooved air-drying my hair when it was longer – so easy!! :)
Adding a blazer to an outfit is like an automatic “office appropriate” addition…so easy!
