With the Christmas and the New Year literally right around the corner, I often find myself reflecting on the past year. I look back and think about all the wonderful experiences, relationships, events and other things that have filled my life and the life of my family. It’s a great time to think about the past year and set intentions for the year ahead to make sure I am living my best life.
Abbott is on this bandwagon too. They just launched an incredible initiative about living life to the fullest. They are on a mission to find out what living fully means to each of us. All over the world, people have their own unique ideas about how this looks and feels. But there’s one thing we share: we each want to live the best life we can.
So, Abbott has set out to find what living fully means to people around the globe. Your #fullosophy. Pretty cool, right? Similarly, it reminds me of what loves means to people Love Actually. You know, the opening and closing scenes at Heathrow Airport, where they say love actually…is, all around. These universal truths about what makes our hearts beat and what makes you feel fulfilled give me the goosebumps and remind us that we are all connected, which is so important in today’s world.
What is #fullosophy? It’s your own unique way of living that gets you to your fullest. Your joyfullest, your peacefullest, your hopefullest. Your #fullosophy is at the heart of who you really are, and it helps you become your best possible self. It’s obviously different for each of us- but the quest to achieve our best life is what we all have in common no matter who we are or where we live.
So with 2015 coming to a close and the past year’s events fresh in my mind, I took the Abbott LIFE. TO THE FULLEST. quiz and wanted to declare my #fullosophy.
For me, what inspires me to live my best life is a number of things…and a major piece of this (and what I selected in the quiz) is my family. My husband, son and little fur baby. And of course, our extended families and relatives, friends, neighbors- you name it. They make me the best version of myself and fill my life with joy.
And in particular, this little guy. He’s my everything.
And of course my faith…the foundation of it all.
Another large part of my #fullosophy is my health. I enjoy fitness and appreciate so many aspects of it- the stress relief, the camaraderie (and sometimes even the seclusion), the dedication, the time for self-reflection. All of it.
Beyond that, I live my best life and feel fulfilled with other things like:
-my career now that I have returned back to work (and feel most fulfilled when I can balance home life and work to my best ability)
-this little spot of the web where I can blog
-giving to causes I care about
-being part of my community
So what makes you feel fulfilled? Take the quiz. There are no right or wrong answers, so be honest with yourself. A million people around the globe are sharing what a full life means to them. And the cool part is that responses will become part of a global look at the nature of human fulfillment. The results are incredibly interesting (and rather fun to look through!)
How do you live your best life?
