Happy Monday! (And for those of you that are off today, I am jealous!)
I did have a nice extended weekend so I suppose I can’t complain. On Thursday, I headed to Indiana to speak at my college for a “Careers in Business” panel, which was really fun. Call me crazy- but I kind of love public speaking. I stayed the night at my parents house and took off on Friday so squeeze in some quality time with them before heading back in the evening.
Saturday was spent doing laundry and errands. I made a yummy crispy gnocchi with basil, zucchini, corn and chicken and watched We’re the Millers, which was actually really good! Sunday was a typical one including a church, a workout and answering some emails/blogging stuff while the hubs worked away at constructing our home office!
As for today’s look, I remixed another fun piece in my closet- a leopard print blouse.
Animal print is such a fun and versatile one to work with! Here, I’ve worn it two ways: under a blazer and then under a sweater, where the Peter Pan collar layered over the top of the sweater! (And yes, I had my hair done between these two photos!)

Thanks Agi– I love my hair a little darker in winter (and curled when I get the time!)
I love a good leopard blouse and makes me want to get one for myself! You look so pretty in both outfits.

Thank you Yi-chia! They are so versatile and make for a somewhat neutral print being black and camel colored. So fun!
Cohosting #fundaymonday and wanted to stop by! I love the look of the leopard print blouse under the sweater!

Thanks Eva- it’s such a different look when it’s layered! Appreciate you stopping by!
Ah! I love both of these outfits. Also, I DO NOT need more colored ankle pants, but, dang, those green ones look really nice.
And the fact that your leopard print top has a collar makes me jealous. Mine doesn’t which means it difficult to wear under a sweater like you did in the second outfit. Yours looks great like that.
Thanks Erin! They are really nice but I’d wait for a 40% off sale because you know one is always coming… And at first, I didn’t like the collar but when I realized I could layer it under things, I changed my mind haha!
I love leopard, both looks are so cute!
Thanks Ginny! I had an epiphany when I realized I could wear it under a sweater and have the collar pop out! :-)
I’ve never had gnocchi but it sounds amazing! I’m glad you had a good weekend. I love your leopard shirt – it really is so versatile!
I hadn’t either until recently- like little nuggets of potato pasta- very good! Thanks Ashley!
Great ways to wear an animal print shirt to make it work appropriate!
Thanks Lisa! I totally think leopard print is acceptable if you style it right!
what a great post- i’ve never really gravitated toward leopard print so it’s awesome to see the different ways to style it! i especially like it under the sweater, that way it’s a muted accent but still a bold one at that :)

Thanks Marlen- that’s exactly what I was trying to go for!
What a nice weekend! I am happy you liked the film. I thought I would hate it but it made me laugh so much! And how nice you got to hang with the fam on Friday! :)
ME TOO! It wasn’t what I was expecting so I was pleasantly surprised!
