Total: $298.30– $215 income earned (via eBay and Poshmark sales) = $83.30 for June
Annual clothing allotment: $600– $277.20 spent so far = $322.80 remaining for the year
By the looks of it, I did a lot of shopping this month! And I did. But luckily, my grand total doesn’t reflect that. I had some great sales from eBay and Poshmark from pieces in my closet (like the Hunter boots I upgraded in May and the shoe regret from last month.) So all in all, still on track with this $600 annual clothing allotment. High five!
I’m still trying to decide if I want to keep the Old Navy activewear and romper. They had a 40% off sale and I’m still waiting for the order to arrive, but we’ll see how they fit. Otherwise, I added some dresses and basic summer style staples to my closet, along with two pairs of sandals. The glitter pair was a replacement of the ones I got when I was pregnant and I had to size up due to my swollen ankles. Much better! And I’m LOVING the skort from Athleta. Yes, just when I thought skorts were a distant memory of the 90s, they are back. But they are awesome. They have bike shorts underneath and it’s a really breathable/fast drying material. Perfect for chasing messy toddlers, among other things! Rounded out the purchases with a few workout pieces (typical for me) and of course, also had a few pieces from a collaboration with DressLily, including this romper, this black lace skirt and graphic tee (worn here).
What did you purchase in June? And skorts…yay or nay? And how about rompers?

I’m in love with that skort. I’ve been cycling more and I’m not really fond of the athletic clothes I bought at Target and Old Navy workout gear doesn’t fit me very well. I need more cute things I can wear on a ride and not feel out of place if we stop for lunch.

This skort would be PERFECT! It’s easy to move in but still holds its shape and has that sweat wicking material. And it looks effortlessly chic when you aren’t on the bike– best of both worlds. I highly recommend!
Totally bought that same skort- and two others- from Athleta! Debating which one to send back, because I can’t justify three for the price they were, but you’re right- perfect for chasing around the babes!
Great minds think alike! :-) What other ones/colors did you get? I really want the navy/white patterned one, but they are out of my size- boo! I’m tempted to get more…and I just got $25 in rewards after all this haul- fueling my addiction I tell ya! Dangerous…
I got a similar striped swing dress from Target last month and I love wearing it. It’s so comfortable and perfect for the summer weather. Skorts aren’t for me any more. I see them coming back, but I can’t bring myself to try them on. However, I am all for rompers. If they’re stretchy and cotton, yes please. I have a jumpsuit that I have yet to wear though because it’s difficult to use the restroom while wearing.
I felt the same way about skorts too- but the skorts I remember had the skirt in the front and shorts look in the back– eew. This Athleta version is a skirt all around with the bike shorts under– much more fashionable! Just got my romper in the mail and I LOVE it too! Just wish it was easier to go to the bathroom…hmmm.
