Yeah, so this month a definitely took a sizable bite out of my $600 annual clothing budget. In fact, this is the most I’ve spent in a single month in 2016. I had some time off this month, so naturally a bit more time to shop…whoops! That just means that I’ve got to be really mindful with the rest of my budget for the rest of the year…it’s going to get hard, but I’m going to try to stick to it! #holdmeaccountable
Several purchases weren’t really planned, but I knew they were great deals, fit my lifestyle, and would get a ton of wear. Case in point: my favorite Madewell v-neck tees, workout/around-the-house wear, and another skort from Athleta since I was wearing my olive one from last month so dang much.
The striped tank was on sale at Madewell and has already been worn several times. It’s a bit of a hi-low hem, perfect for bending down to get Bryce. I also got some more professional wear (more on that in Monday’s post.) The dress still had the Loft tag on it, and I couldn’t pass it up…plus I vowed that if I added another dress to my closet, it had to be a plain one since I own so many patterned dresses. The midi skirt was on clearance at Target, and I can’t wait to wear it. In fact, expect it on the blog soon…I’ve got big plans for it. And the blazer? I’ve got a review on it coming in Monday’s post. Spoiler alert: it’s gotta be good because I ordered it in three colors and it accounted for basically half of my July clothing spend.
So there you have it! What did you pick up this month?

I love that striped tank from Madewell! Like, I would totally check it out today if one were closer to me, haha! The blush midi skirt is gorgeous (and from Target?! awesome!), as is the peplum dress! You got some great things this month!
I am loving Madewell lately but I don’t have one near me either! Online shopping is the best :-) I already wore the peplum dress to work and next week’s outfit post features that midi skirt– stay tuned!
Great Deals
Thanks Irina!
Love the color of the peplum dress and that it’s thrifted! Great finds and deals!

I couldn’t believe it when I saw the price tag…snatched it up without thinking HA!
Wow I totally admire you for sticking to an annual budget–I’m not sure I could do that! I think you did great this month–you got a lot for your money. I LOVE that pleated skirt especially, and what a bargain! I think I need to go scour the clearance racks at Target now!
I can’t help myself- I always have to take a run through the clearance when I shop there! Never know what you are going to find!
I have been looking for a new black blazer and I totally have nordstrom giftcards!
YES! Worth it…wearing mine as we speak!
Love that you share your clothing budget! I’ve been doing this too, and my readers really connect with the honesty. I like the idea of having a year-long clothing budget, rather than monthly. That can really be a great alternative for moms that aren’t shopping every month. <3
