There are subscriptions for everything from beer-fruit-wine of the month boxes to monthly magazine subscriptions. The subscriptions I’m currently loving are the monthly boxes. They literally make a box for everything– from beauty to kids to cleaning products to healthy foods. Admittedly, I’ve jumped on the “box craze” bandwagon. A little while back, I subscribed to Birchbox for myself and Barkbox for Izzy. It’s so fun to get a little something in the mail each month, and Izzy and I LOVE trying out the latest toys and products! I’ve found some great new things to amp up my beauty routine and Izzy has increased her toy collection and taste palette for delicious cookies and treats.
I just wish I had thought of that whole box concept! Maybe I can just come up with my own themed subscription and go into business?! Hmmm…
Anyways, here is a peek at my latest boxes of goodies!
This month’s boxes was all about making tiny tweaks in your routine to get big results.
I got two sets of Oribe shampoo/conditioner for colored hair. Although the size is small (the shampoo was enough for one wash, the conditioner lasted a little longer because I don’t like to use as much), I loved the way my hair felt. My husband also said it made my hair smell like “a little kid’s hair.” Hmm- not sure if that is good or bad but I liked the smell and my hair felt clean and healthy!
I also got some tea. I’m not a tea drinker so I gifted these to a coworker who enjoys tea. The body gel smells amazing in the shower–like I am at a fancy spa! And the lipstick pencil goes on smooth and lasts for a long time! (They say you can use it on your cheeks but the shade I got is way to red for me. I prefer powder blush.) I also got some anti-aging eye cream, which I have been using at night. I still have to give it a few more days and see if it makes me look more youthful haha!)
I was most excited, however, to see that this month’s box included a subscription to Women’s Health magazine! (If you didn’t want it, you could request a refund for $9.99.) I love this magazine and this alone made the Birchbox pay for itself!
Overall, I was very happy with this month’s Birchbox! It was a home run! WOO HOO!
Izzy’s Barkbox was equally exciting!
It came full of toys and treats! She obviously devoured the treats over a few weeks (and those Little Eatz treats are for humans AND dogs!) I was a little weirded out by it for some reason, but my husband tried these peanut butter cookies and said they were good!
Izzy patiently waited to get her box…
Then she surveyed her goodies…
And of course she went for the rat toy! She went CRAZY with it…it was hilarious!
I don’t think she knew that it was already dead…
Because this is what was left of it after a few hours…
I’d say she was pretty satisfied with the contents of her Barkbox!
