I love fall! Time for football, corn mazes, campfires & s’mores, pumpkin themed drinks and busting out the sweaters, coats and boots from the wardrobe!
So on the topic of fall wardrobe options, I’ve been on the hunt for a pair flat of cognac boots. I’ve seen countless blogs and Pinterest finds with outfits that feature cognac boots and I’m dying to put some of my own outfits together! Unfortunately, all of the boots I’ve been seeing at stores or online look more like riding boots and I want something with a more feminine flair. But on a recent shopping trip with my Mom, I discovered my must-have boots for fall: Aldo’s Candlish boot. I love everything about it- the low heel (so I can walk longer distances without discomfort), the color (matches with most everything!), the full zipper (easy on/off) and the slouchy gathering (sets it apart from the riding boots that are out there.) The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the price. I searched around and did find a 10% off coupon for subscribing to receive Aldo e-mails, so that helps! Plus, all of the Aldo shoes I’ve owned have lasted quite a while so I think this would be a good investment and would complete SO many outfits! Perhaps this could be an early birthday present to myself?!

Loving my new “Mary Ann” Passchal bag from Waukegan Tire! Made from recycled tractor inner tube tires and oh so perfect for fall!
Another fantastic fall piece that I adore is my new Passchal bag from Waukegan Tire. (I actually won this bag at an fundraising auction at work…this bag was graciously donated by Waukegan Tire, who is a wonderful community partner in the area.) Passchal bags are made from recycled tractor tire inner tubes, so they are not only good for the environment, but a portion of the proceeds goes to support the nonprofit that I work for! These bags are great- they have a whole line of them to choose from, and some prominent figures have been spotted with these bags- from Chicago Bears players to celebrities like Kristin Chenowith! My bag is called the “Mary Ann” bag, which was designed by a great gal named Mary Ann (check out her story– she’s fantastic!) I LOVE this bag…especially that outer zip pocket. It’s easy access for my cell phone so I can separate it from the rest of my crap other essential items. There is also purple lining on the inside and a light on the inside compartment so I can find my way around throughout the infinite abyss of stuff I keep in there :-) My only complaint is that I wish the straps were longer so I could fit it under my arm so I can be hands free when I run errands, etc. (I am a very picky person when it comes to purses…they must be functional AND stylish!)
So those are my current fall favorites…I’m sure there will be more to come! Happy Fall, Y’all!
