Well it’s been a hot minute since I blogged, but then again it was a busy summer with our move and then fall snuck up on us and just like that–school has started. Now that we are getting back into the swing of our new routines in our new place, wanted to share a few favorites I’m loving lately!
Reading:
Any Time Any Place Any Prayer: got this for the boys and it’s such a great book. It’s from one of the authors of Risen Motherhood, a book and podcast I adore.
Builder Brothers Big Plans: darling book with a great message!
Colleen Hoover books: I’m addicted to this author– her books are amazing and I can’t put them down!
Wearing:
Fully embracing allll the fall vibes with this cozy pullover…and it’s under $20! Love the leopard detail at the pockets
Pair it with simple accessories like a gold necklace and you’re set!

Flats (worth every penny, especially because they last forever and you can wash them!) Get $20 off.

Applying:
Adcock Farm & Co. has homemade, all natural, great smelling sprays, bars, lotions, etc. And they have great gifts and new fall clothing/accessories! The bug be gone spray has a mix of essential oils I use on the boys so they aren’t covered in all that deet, and the room spray makes our rooms smell downright dreamy! Shop is open online and in person Fri, Sat and Sun! (Mention code Valerie10 for 10% off select items!)

Enjoying:
Flights. Whether it’s coffee, mimosas or ice cream, I am a big fan of the concept (plus the presentation is so cute!) If you are local there are flights at Latte Cafe in Antioch and ice cream at Ivy’s Oh So Sweet in Richmond!

Using:
Gladskin is founded in Europe came to the US last year. Their Eczema Cream restores the healthy, natural balance to your skin microbiome while moisturizing, which I so wish I had when I was younger since I suffered from eczema that flared up during my soccer season. The worst!
The Gladskin Eczema Cream is a first-of-its-kind cream, formulated
with Micreobalance® (a patented smart protein and their star
ingredient) that keeps bad bacteria in check and calms things like redness,
irritation, and dry skin. AND it’s safe for long-term use with no withdrawal reaction should you ever stop using it. And it’s safe to use as young as 3 months old!
And Gladskin’s other products (Face Wash, Body Wash, and Shampoo
Bar) support that microbiome-balancing work because they don’t contain any harsh ingredients or preservatives that typical cleansers do.

Running:
Bryce has taken an interest in running, so we’ve been hitting the trails after school. There’s a nice 2 mile loop near his school that we’ve been tackling each week. We even went to our school’s cross country invitational to see what it was like. We are signed up for a 3k race this weekend, the perfect distance for him and can’t wait!

Shopping:
Now through the 14th, Shopbop is having a big sale, with 15% off orders of $200+, 20% off orders of $500+, and 25% off orders of $800+ with code STYLE. I get a lot of my closet staples here, plus you can use Rakuten to get cash back on your purchase too (and literally anywhere else you shop online too).
Some of my faves:
Skarlett Blue bras: they are comfortable and pretty and my new favorite go to for a regular bra after trying several brands.
Girlfriend Collective bras: love their simplicity, they fit great and come in a variety of styles and colors. Plus they wash well and have lasted over time. Can’t beat em!
New Balance sneakers: they have TONS of cool color combos, which are perfect for when you want a sassy sneaker to finish off an outfit!
Madewell clutch: Perfect size to hold all your cards, lip gloss, mask and phone without being bulky! Comes in black and cognac colors too.
Slip pillowcase: I’ve read the hype about how silk pillowcases help your skin and hair, and I have to say– it’s all true. I notice a big difference vs a traditional cotton pillowcase. Makes for a great gift or a treat for yourself!
