Happy Tuesday! First up, I wanted to share this outfit I wore recently- found this printed dress on the clearance rack at Banana Republic Factory and fell in love with it- the colors are perfect for spring and it’s so bold! It can be worn on it’s own (it has small cap sleeves), or with a cardigan or blazer- very versatile for the office!
And also on the outfit front…I need your help! I am a standing up in a friend’s wedding over Memorial Day weekend. The bride picked out the cutest bridesmaid! They are black with one shoulder and a ruched waist (we are removing the bow on the shoulder so it looks a bit more streamlined). Totally rewearable little wedding LBD for a special occasion in my opinion!
(From David’s Bridal)
Question is…I’m not sure what kind of shoes to wear! The bride said anything black.
I’ve got two pairs in mind:
Left: Target, Right: DSW (via March budget)
So…which do I wear with the bridesmaid dress?!
Do I go classic or edgy? Use the widget below.

I love the edgy shoes! But, for a wedding I would wear classic.
Good call– I think classic will be best. But I could always do a shoe change for the reception! ;-)
I love the dresses she picked out! Of course, I am drawn to the orange one… LOL!!!!
LOL that’d be awesome if the bridesmaids each had a different color…like a bag of Skittles!
A friend was telling me how she is in a wedding where every other bridesmaid has a different color dress on!
I would definitely keep it classic with a simple black pump. The bridesmaids dress is gorgeous and i love the find at Banana Republic.
Agi:)

Classic is definitely a safe way to go- timeless! Maybe I can switch into the edgy ones for the reception?
I am more of a classic girl, but I would totally get the edgy heels for a different occasion. They are so cute!
I’m leaning that way too– maybe a shoe change for the reception when we get to dancing?!
I agree on classic! Or maybe a quick change from ceremony to reception fun shoes!
Good call! That’s going to be my game plan!
Definitely classic for the ceremony and edgy for the reception! Plus, the wedges will be more comfy on the dance floor :-)
Amen sistah! That’s what I’m going to do. Good game plan!
I voted for Classic. Those patent-leather peep-toes are gorgeous and would look pretty with the elegant LBD (which I love). I also love that geometric-print dress in the fun colors. Great work sheath and would work for dinner, cocktails or even a shower. =) Love it. You look great in Green and Teal. Speaking of:

Thank you Ada! And I SO appreciate you including me!!
I love your colorful dress…the colors are so great for spring! I voted differently from everyone else, I love an edgy shoe. However, if all the others will be classic, you don’t want to stand out too much, I guess! (Do you know what everyone else is wearing for shoes?)
Good call. I have a feeling others will go classic to match the rest of the decor/bride’s taste but I think I’ll change into these edgy shoes for the reception!
I think some of this would depend on the bride’s style and wedding style. e.g. a more classic wedding look & feel, or unique/edgy?
Love the look either way!
Very true. Definitely more classic…maybe I’ll opt to wear the classic for the wedding and edgy for the reception- my dancin shoes :-)
