With all this Christmas shopping for others, who wouldn’t love to treat themselves with a Stitch Fix? That’s exactly what I did!
But first: Need some background on Stitch Fix, or want to see what I’ve received in other fixes, including maternity? Head on over here.
Back to business. For this fix, here is what I sent my stylist:
“Want timeless, classic, simple pieces in plain colors- not too many patterns. Think J.Crew, Loft, Banana Republic. No dolman sleeves, boxy tunics or sheer tops/odd hemlines. Momma that works from home, so casual pieces only. Please see Pinterest board for specifics!”
And my stylist pretty much nailed it.
I got a nice selection of mostly plain and classic items that I can remix with items I already own in my closet. I got two items straight from my Pinterest board too!
Let’s get down to each item now, shall we? Feel free to pin away for your future fixes too!
First up- Just Black Connely Skinny Jean ($78)
Versatile denim– a nice staple in a winter wardrobe. Very slimming and the perfect amount of stretch with a low rise. I am 5’5″ and they were a little long on me, and a smidge tight but otherwise lovely!
And I don’t know about you, but it helps me to see the items when they are worn, so here is an obligatory butt shot. Sorry about that.
Next up- Market & Spruce Cordelia Striped Boat Neck Sweater ($58)
Classic and very J.Crew-esque, just like I asked for! Would look great under a quilted vest too.
Next was the Skies are Blue Colten Lace Raglan Sleeve Knit Top ($58)
I pinned a few crochet tops, so my stylist included this one. Love the blue-purple color and the lace detailing. Would look great with a cream vest (I’m on a huge vest kick right now…)
The next piece was the Loveappella Morgan Mix Knit Raglan Top ($54)
I love this brand, because I pin it a lot and get it in several of my fixes. I had pinned this baseball tee because I loved the neutral colors, and it looked like a fun top to dress up or down. My only complaint was that in person, the material is quite clingy and not very thick. It really wouldn’t keep you warm & toasty if that is what you are hoping for.
On the other hand, an item that will keep you warm & toasty is the Pixley Willow Draped Cardigan ($78). The white/gray color palette is neutral, and the fun print gives it a fun look. And yes, it is warm and snuggly!
So there you have it! All in all, I was really happy with my fix. So much fun to have these arrive on your doorstep :-) Go ahead and treat yourself to a fix this holiday season…and if you are stumped on what to buy, get them a Stitch Fix gift card. Can’t go wrong with that!
Now the part I need help with…what do I keep?!

I think you should definitely keep the two sweaters – the striped one and the cardigan. If the jeans might stretch a bit or not so tight that you wouldn’t reach for them then I’d keep those, too. They make your butt look great! :-)
The other tops, as cute as they are, I wouldn’t keep. Especially if they’re that jersey/rayon material that clings and pills. I’m slowly trying to rid my closet of all of those types of tops because they just don’t wear well over time.
Good point on the jeans- they always do that! They are pretty comfy and I agree on the butt HAHA! Yeah, I was a little underwhelmed with the material on those. The cut/style were cute, but at that price tag, was hoping for a bit more durability.
I think you should keep the cardigan – looks super warm, and it’s totally cute! Wish that style worked for me … on you, it’s fantastic!
I really do love that cardigan- probably my favorite item! It is tricky though- have to make sure the lapels lay just right otherwise it looks like a pile of extra material on my chest ha! Thanks for reading :-) PS- LOVED your Christmas cards…so sweet! Give Gracin a big ol hug from me (and Bryce!)
I really like the draped cardigan and the jeans. I’ve really been trying to not buy any tops with the rayon material. I find that they just don’t wear well over time. However, I do make an exception to the rule, if a shirt is less than like $10 but then I just get rid of the shirt after one season.
I LOVE that rule of thumb and think I’m going to steal it too :-) And I feel like I’ve had a lot of pilling on cheaper sweaters I’ve bought…not sure if it’s a type of material or just the quality overall…I feel like those only last a season and it’s so frustrating!
This was a great stitch fix! I am loving that cozy cardigan, striped sweater, and jeans the most!
The cardigan was definitely my favorite- so cozy!
