Ways to Treat Yourself After a Half Marathon + Giveaway!
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #TryALittleGoodness #CollectiveBias I knew after having Bryce that I wanted to complete a half marathon within the year. He was born in April, and I knew I wouldn’t want to do a winter half marathon, so I found one in October and signed up. No time like the present, huh? It was my 3rd half marathon, so I knew what training would be like. I wanted to do it because running was my Read More
Stay Well This Winter with Kleenex Brand
Thank you to the Kleenex brand for sponsoring this post. Many thanks to supporting the brands that support me! Around Chicagoland, you can definitely feel the crispness in the air and fall is in full effect! Unfortunately, that means winter will be here before we know it- booo! And with wintertime comes flu season. Luckily, I don’t have to worry about germs and sickness with sending Bryce to school or daycare, but that certainly doesn’t mean that he won’t be exposed to germs with Read More
#RemixYourCoffee with New Folgers Flavors & a Giveaway!
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Folgers. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation. These days, waking up ready to tackle the day doesn’t happen easily. Growing up, a bowl of my beloved Golden Grahams or the smell of pancakes and syrup helped me take on the day, but as an adult (and mama), I definitely need something stronger. For me- that’s coffee. I wake up around 6 am Read More

I picked up the chalkboard top jars from Target in their dollar section and gave these as gifts to neighbors, friends and family. The recipe fills 3 small jars and 2 regular mason jars, FYI. Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Granola (recipe adapted from Iowa Girl Eats) makes 4-1/2 Read More
Hero 10k (and Other Races Post-Baby)
This past weekend, I raced in the Hero 10k at the gorgeous Indiana Dunes State Park back home where I grew up. This was actually the 4th race I’ve done post-baby. The others were: 5k over 4th of July in Tomahawk, WI (24:44)- didn’t bring Bryce- he stayed with his grandparents! 10k in August in Gurnee, IL (50:20, 2nd place AG)- early race, so Bryce stayed home with Daddy! My first evening 5k in September in Pleasant Prairie, WI (24:09, 3rd place AG)- first race with Bryce as Read More
