Bryce, like most toddlers, doesn't willingly reach for vegetables these days. So I have to get a little creative in how I serve them up. Besides his go-to smoothie (which lately consists of a handful of spinach, frozen mixed fruit, a scoop of yogurt and chia seeds), I've found that serving vegetables mashed is the way to go. Something about the consistency perhaps? Whatever it is, as long as he's eating veggies, I'm happy! Plus, it's easy to make a bunch of it at once and create a nice stash in Read More
This Mom’s Morning Routine
This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I always love reading insights into other people’s routines and schedules, so thought I’d share my own morning routine with you today. On the days when I am not working, I typically do the same thing. I wake up, in theory before Bryce, and the first thing I do is write down the highlights from the previous day in this memory book I got from Amazon, usually because I forget to do it the Read More
Killer Cobb Salad // Litehouse Giveaway
This post was made possible by iConnect and Litehouse Foods. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine. Man, do I love a cobb salad. There is so much awesome stuff going on: crispy greens, eggs, bacon, tomato, fresh veggies, cheese, the list goes on. I’ve seen them made with an array of ingredients and all of them are heaven on a plate. The other day, I made a cobb salad for lunch that was to die for…something about the combination of the Read More

What’s In My Fridge // Weekly Shopping List Essentials
This post was sponsored by Weight Watchers as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review. #NoStringsAttached #IC #ad Some days, I feel like I’m always on the go. Whether it’s a day at work, play dates or running errands, I somehow always get that afternoon snack craving. I have an unapologetically large sweet tooth, and I know that if I don’t keep healthy snacking options at my fingertips, then I won’t make the best Read More
Summertime Eats
Summertime is full of good eats, if you ask me. From fresh produce to sweet treats to cool drinks, there’s certainly an abundance of tasty stuff over here! Here’s what I’ve been enjoying lately: 1) Three cheers for fresh produce from our backyard. Well, our neighbor’s to be exact. No green thumb here. Between that, my parent’s garden and farmer’s markets, we are stocked up! 2) Speaking of fresh produce, I used zucchini to make chocolate chip zucchini bread with walnuts. I had a lot, so Read More

Gurnee Days Trail Run 2016 #GoGurnee
Runs these days look a bit different, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I have a great running buddy! In an effort to stick to my fitness routine, I signed up for one race a month (July through October). July’s race was Antioch’s Run for Freedom over the 4th. It was Bryce’s first official race running with my in the stroller. Despite a crowded start, we finished in 26:18, 4th in my age group and first stroller finishers- woo woo! The race for August is one I’ve done for a few Read More
