J.Crew Factory Quilted Puffer Vest: $61.60 (30% off)
Saucony Ride Running Shoes: $59.40 on sale + 15% promo code
Target C9 Champion Bike Shorts: $9.50 on clearance + Cartwheel savings
Old Navy Black marbled Top (similar): $5.99 on clearance
J.Crew Factory Wrap Front Dot Dress: $25.79 on clearance
Not pictured: my favorite underwear on clearance (got 2 for $7) plus 4 pairs of awesome Eddie Bauer athletic socks for $9.50 after store rewards. Also got a turban headband and celtic knot style headband from Etsy to wear during the day to keep the hair of my face as I play with Bryce…hoping they work out and keep those annoying whispy hairs out of my face!
I’ve been crushing on the quilted vests from J.Crew/JCF and really wanted to treat myself to one for the fall. They seem to be very popular, so I snagged one during a 30% off sale + free shipping offer. I figured navy would work best, although I’m tempted to try ivory too (but might opt to get a cheaper version with my SuperCash at Old Navy.) I also added the wrap front dress to my cart because I am a sucker for dresses and have been missing wearing them, and the low cut cross front of this dress makes it easy for pumping!
To round it out, I grabbed a cute sweatshirt like marbled top on clearance at Old Navy, along with a pair of bike shorts on clearance at Target for those T25 workouts at home where I typically wear running shorts, but I like that these don’t gather/ride up when I’m jumping around! It was also time to purchase some new kicks since I had too many miles to count (along with holes) on my old Saucony running shoes. These beauties are great and I’ve taken them out for a couple long runs for half marathon training already. I typically go for the previous year’s version of the shoe to save a bit more moolah.
All in all, this month’s purchases were again covered by blog income and eBay sales. High five for me for budgeting post baby! :-)
And to round out the month, I received the following from my sponsors/partners (thank you to supporting those that support me!):
- Two Halogen relaxed slub knit tees from Nordstrom c/o Splender (seen here and remixed here)
- Pendant necklace from Nordstrom c/o Splender
- Pleione split neck top from Nordstrom (seen here), c/o Splender
- Bittersweet Bracelet (see review here)
- Paid $24.95 after my Shopbop credits for this gorgeous Kate Spade laptop bag…it’s a keeper and a huge upgrade from the college issue one I got from our athletic department!
So tell me, what did you treat yourself to this month? Post it in the comments!

Thanks Jill! It totally paid off to wait it out until it was on clearance plus a coupon code on top of it! Can’t wait for fall so I can style that vest too- yay!
Awesome month! I just love the laptop case you got!
I adore it too! Lots of inner and outer compartments so I can store a notebook, cables, etc.
What great choices! I just LOVE that wrap dress!

Thanks! It paid off to wait it out until it went on clearance + sale– so worth it then!
I can’t wait for fall weather to happen so I can wear quilted vests again! They’re such a versatile layering piece.
Can’t wait either– excited to style some outfits for fall with it!
I almost want that vest but then my arms would feel cold.. no?
It’s perfect for fall before it gets too cold (or spring, for that matter!) It pairs well with a sweater or long sleeve underneath- just enough warm in your core so you don’t overheat!
Love the print on that dress! My biggest treats this month were a pair of silver antler earrings and a couple pairs of shoes.
I just picked up the same puffer vest and am loving it so far!!
Your new laptop case is gorgeous, and worth the upgrade. I have one of the J.Crew puffer vests and I wear it all of the time, I think you’re going to be really happy with it.
