C9 Champion Seamless Long Sleeve: $8, on clearance for 70% off
Old Navy V-Back Long Sleeve Top: $13
Lululemon Rest Less Restless Pullover: $54 via Poshmark (sign up with code JOIJL for $10 off your first order!)
Lou & Grey Spacedye Signature Soft Maxi Dress: $42, half off
Old Navy Black Board Shorts: $16
Old Navy Espadrille Ankle-Strap Sandals: $16
Madewell Skinny Skinny Ankle High Riser: $17 via Poshmark
Not pictured: Ended up buying a gray long-sleeve technical zip up from the race I did last month for $15. They were really nice and I find that I need another layer on when I work in the basement, so this was a great addition.
Total: $181– $260 income earned (via eBay and Poshmark sales) = ($79) in April, but I’m just calling it zero.
Annual clothing allotment: $600– $193.90 spent so far = $406.10 remaining for the year
My April clothing budget was an interesting one this time around. Notably, I sold a TON of stuff on eBay and a little on Poshmark, so that help offset my spending and more than cover it (although I am just saving that extra moolah and not applying it to my annual allotment.) Last month, I sold a Kate Spade bag on eBay and after lots of back-and-forth, I got it back and was able to relist it and earn even more- HA! Also sold a few other name brand items, and wow did it add up!
So what did I add to my closet? Well, I got three “work shirts,” or really, workout wear. (Man, working from home means my athletic gear is on point. :-) I think I justify it because I consider it dual purpose: work clothes and workout clothes.) Anyways, I wanted some long sleeve options because I always find that I’m chilly. The Target pullover was an impulse, but on crazy clearance so I couldn’t pass it up. The v-back top is super cute…and honestly, I had a gift card and promo code and Super Cash and ordered a few more things that I ended up returning, so costs are approximate. And the Lulu top was a splurge, but I love it so dang much! Warm, cute and functional. (And one of two items I purchased on Poshmark, which was new to me!)
Other items I added:
- Madewell jeans- I got an actual high rise pair (in the correct size this time), and they fit like a glove. And best yet? They were $17 including shipping on Poshmark! Quality denim, and I try to wear “real pants” every now and again instead of yoga pants. #keepingmehonest
- Black sandals- Love the criss-cross straps and sole of these from Old Navy. I prefer buying cheaper sandals and replacing them each season if I need to. That was the case this time.
- Black shorts- These board shorts are perfect to slip on over my swimsuit after swim lessons with Bryce. No brainer.
- Gray maxi dress- I have the sleeveless version of this dress, but when I saw this one, I had to grab it while it was on sale. But I don’t need two gray spacedye maxi dresses, so I’ll probably sell the sleeveless one.
So tell me- how did you do this month?
