Happy Monday! Throughout the month of July, I will be doing a 20×30 summer remix, hosted by Greater than Rubies. What is a 20×30 remix? Well, you take 20 articles of clothing from your closet (not including shoes or accessories) and remix them to make 30 outfits! It’s a great exercise in learning to rework your closet and find more versatility for pieces you already have. I did a 7×8 remix last spring and enjoyed it and am now ready to take it on a larger scale!
Starting next week, I will plan to share the outfits I create with you every Monday. So that will be:
-July 7
-July 14
-July 21
-July 28
-August 4
This week, I’m previewing the 20 pieces I decided to pick for the challenge. More details, including shopping links, are below. (Please note: there are my affiliate links. If you click on them, I will earn a few cents. Thanks!)

Very cool! I love these challenges- can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Me too! They take a lot of time and planning but I’m always so pleased with the end result!
One of these days I HAVE to try a remix challenge! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
I bet you’d be fantastic at it– you already remix items so much in your Monday series!
I really liked all the items you picked and I’m looking forward to seeing how you remix them all! I should try one of these remix challenges sometime too :)
Thanks Maria! I have been wanting to do one for the longest time and can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Great pieces! I love your blazers! I almost threw in a top just like the one on the bottom row of pictures!
Thanks Becky! I am hoping the multicolor top will go with a lot of items. Had to have a tank in the mix with it being summer and all! Good luck to you in the challenge!
I really love the pieces you chose! So classic and pretty. :)

Thanks Alex! Hoping they produce 30 decent looking, put together outfits!
Is part of the challenge that you’re not supposed to re-wear an outfit? I guess that wouldn’t be too hard, considering you still have shoes and accessories as well.
I think this will be a really great reset button and help you decide what you really enjoy wearings vs. what you’re wearing because blogging told you to. (I’m not saying it’s something you do; I mention it because I’ve seen that thought on a few blogs I read before.)
The challenge encourages you to create 30 unique outfits using 20 pieces of clothing. It’s all about remixing and layering to create different looks. Shoes/accessories don’t count but definitely help style the outfits to make small outfit changes look much different. I think it will really be great to show how versatile a small amount of items in my closet can be. Thanks for reading Sara- I appreciate it. :-)
I love the pieces you picked, Valerie! I can see so many combinations just looking at this capsule, so I’m sure you’ll have no trouble finding a great outfit for each day of this challenge :)
Thanks Maria- I hope I can pull together a few good ones out of these pieces! Thanks for reading!
I love your pieces! I’m so excited to be doing this challenge too!
Thanks Marissa! I can’t wait to see what you come up with too!
Such a great mix of pieces and I love all the color. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Thank you Carly! I am pleased with my final 20 picks– I had a few different items in there but think I can get some great outfits out of these!
I’m really excited you’re doing the challenge, Valerie, and can’t wait to see your first week’s looks today! You chose some fantastic pieces, and I’m looking forward to seeing how you style them.
I so appreciate you hosting Caitlin- what a great exercise for me to do!
I am definitely following along on this challenge – better late than never. Love the many different colors of your items but yet I think a lot of them go well together. Loved doing my 30 for 30 challenge and I think September I will be doing another one. Good luck to you!
Thanks for reading Ada! Sounds like you are a pro at remixes too!
