Hope you had a great weekend! I had a busy weekend myself- my husband and I finally finished our DIY chandelier and it looks AWESOME (post coming soon), cleaned the house a bit and started to decorate our living room which will soon become our home office! Plus, we are getting ready to host a 4th of July party on Thursday (yay for short work weeks!)
But back to business…
Here’s my workout log for June 24-June 30:
June 24: rest
June 25: 3.07 miles in 29:20, 9:33 pace, 374 calories
June 26: 1.25 mile walk with Izzy, arm circuit with weights (3x), slender abs workout (1x), 7 minute workout
June 27: 4.8 miles in 44:30 ish, 9:28 pace, 565 calories
June 28: rest
June 29: 8.01 miles in 1:15:56, 9:29 pace, 945 calories
-I LOVE my new Garmin! I finally got a fancy running watch and I can’t believe I went this long without it!
-Looking forward to the 4th of July 5k that I signed up for. Last year, it was 100+ degrees (and I somehow managed to place), so let’s hope I can do it again (but without the heat!)
-This year, I really wanted to make it a goal of mine to train for a “longer” local race. After doing some research, I decided to train for Fort2Base in late August. I chose the longer distance, which is 10 NM (11.5 miles). After receiving an email update from them, I realized that I am WAY behind in my training! So I downloaded their training schedule and did my first long run this past Saturday. The weather was PERFECT so that helped. I felt great! I couldn’t believe I did 8 miles just out of the blue–let’s hope the rest of the long runs are easier!
Have a great (short) week!
