(Thanks to everyone that captured photos along the route!)
Highlight of the week: I had a blast at the Run for Boston 5k. It was a well organized race for such a great cause and I’m so glad I was able to participate (and help stuff a few race packets along the way!). Katie and her dedicated team of volunteers worked tirelessly to organize every minute detail, all of which made for a smooth and enjoyable race experience. And although it was rainy that day, it certainly didn’t affect anyone’s spirits! (Plus, don’t you feel badass when you run in the rain?!) Check out the recaps from Katie and Kelly and you’ll see all the hard work that went into this race!
Sweet tech shirts…and lots of other goodies I might add! (And I wore my new Old Navy workout capris…LOVE the fit and the quality is great, plus their active wear is 40% off right now! Check out all the styles here.)
Random side note: I’ve been wanting a “fancy runner’s watch” for quite some time. After getting some advice from various Chicago Running Bloggers, I scoured eBay and ended up getting a good deal on a Garmin 405CX! It should be here late next week so I’m excited to play around with it and learn how it works. So maybe starting next week, my workout logs will have some actual mileage/pace info (until then, I’ve just been guessing on both which was getting a little frustrating for me). I think it’s a great investment and will help a lot in my training! I’m gonna be official now kids! Yee haw!

Yay! I am excited you scored a watch! That is the same one I have, and I really like it!
I love the new capris!
Great job at the 5K! What a bummer that the course was short though!
Those capris are ADORABLE!
Thanks! Yeah I love the colors…and the price!
AHHHH! I’m bummed that I missed the 40% off sale! I need more of those capris for trapeze. They are perfect and I only have one pair.
Maybe it will be back again?! If not, I’m guessing they might go on clearance soon!
