I’m trying to catch up on my backlog of “What I Wore to Work” posts so you get a second one this week!
Did you watch the CMA’s? I thought it was pretty good- loved the Duck Dynasty special appearance in the opening act. And I’d like Carrie Underwood’s legs. Duh.
Anyways, check out some of my work looks…:
Monday-
Totally slipped my mind to take a photo. Whoops. It was a cute outfit thought- navy tweed pencil skirt with a navy blazer and coral shell underneath. I’ll wear it again sometime. And remember to take a photo.

Tuesday-
Cardigan: Target
Tank: Banana Republic (from my Oct clothing budget)
Skirt: Target
Boots: Target
I’ve made a mental note to add a scarf or necklace to this outfit. It looks kind of blah an needs a little something special to complement the striped skirt, which has a shiny effect to it. Also worn here.

Wednesday-
Cardigan: Target
Shell: Banana Republic Outlet (part of Aug clothing budget)
Pants: The Limited
Shoes: Target
Wore this for my bday. It was such a comfy outfit! The shell has so many fun colors that you can take any one of them and add a cardigan, etc.

Friday-
Top: Loft Outlet (part of Oct clothing budget)
Jeans: American Eagle
Boots: Aldo
Earrings: Ann Taylor
I saw this top in the clearance racks and wasn’t sure about it. But once I tried it on, I knew I had to get it! (The $8 price point didn’t hurt either.) I already wore this when the hubs, Izzy and I took a photo for our holiday cards!
Ok so weigh in! Which look do you like the best?

I really like your Wednesday and Thursday outfits. The green wrap dress is beautiful and it comes from one of my favorite stores. Happy Belated Birthday too!
Yeah the wrap dress seems to be a reader favorite! (Gotta love NY&Co right?!) And thanks for the bday wishes!
Thursday!!! That dress looks amazing on you!
Thanks Erin! :-) Wrap dresses really flatter everyone…I have a couple in my closet when I don’t know what to wear…my go-to’s!
I like all of these looks, but I especially love wrap dresses. I am starting a new job Monday, and have been using you for office wear inspiration. I have worn scrubs for so long, (I’m an RN) that I was at a complete loss. Thanks for the help!
That makes me so happy to hear that you get inspiration from my blog! THANK YOU! And best of luck on your new job…what field are you in?
I’ve been doing in patient psych for years, but now I will be a psych case manager. No scrubs, no nights, and no weekends or holidays; it’s pretty much nursing heaven!
Congratulations! That sounds like a wonderful move! Can’t wait to hear how you like it (and how much you enjoy the free nights/weekends/holidays!) :-)
That green wrap is so flattering on you!
Thank you so much Lisa! I think every gal needs a wrap dress in their closet!
Love your wrap dress. I need to get myself on. It’s flattering on everyone. Love the colour of the dress.

Thanks Agi! Wrap dresses are the BEST!
Love your tuesday look – that skirt is so pretty, wish i’d picked it up when it was in the store!
Thanks Lyd! Who knows…I bet they will bring it back in different colors/patterns. Target seems to do that a lot!
I have the same striped skirt as your first picture and wore it this week too. :) I also got a peplum similar to your and have been struggling on how to wear it. I really like what you did,I’ll have to try it for myself :)
YES- I remember seeing that on your blog! Love that skirt…I got it in coral because I liked the cut so much haha!
I’m utterly in love with your birthday outfit (happy belated birthday, too!). Seriously – that top is gorgeous!
Thank you Brynn- you are so sweet! I think that top will get LOTS of wear…so many colors to match it with!
