It’s certainly starting to heat up here with 90+ degree days for the foreseeable future, and that often leaves me feeling a bit uninspired in the clothing department. Layering is what makes outfits interesting and multi-dimensional, and that proves difficult when it’s toasty outside. So today, I’ve partnered with Everlane to show you two options that work for warmer weather and transition from daytime to date night! From comfy cotton dresses to light, drapey and wrinkle-resistant jumpsuits, they are ethically made and the quality is unsurpassed. Pair both outfits with some gold necklaces (which I love to layer) and you are all set!
First up is the Long Weekend Tank Dress in color Azalea. I love the brighter color and feel like it’s a perfect hue for summer. It’s definitely one of my go-to dresses for this summer. It’s made of soft, lightweight cotton with a lived-in feel and a relaxed fit with a midi length (I’m 5’5″ for reference). The front pocket and side slit details are nice details too. For $40, you just can’t beat it! I paired it with cognac sandals and layered gold necklaces, and you can easily layer on a jean jacket to complete the look if you are headed into air conditioning.
It comes in 4 colors, and is just $40. I’d say it is true to size. (I am wearing a medium and it’s roomy and fit relaxed without being oversized.)

Next up: the Japanese GoWeave Short Sleeve Jumpsuit in black. Jumpsuits re truly a one-and-done kind of outfit that you can layer a sweater or shirt with, or just wear as-is. Perfect for around the house (like Everlane’s linen jumpsuit, which I reviewed & styled here), at work in the office or out for date night depending on the materials and cut. This particular jumpsuit is on the dressier side, and is one that I had been eyeing for the longest time. It’s an investment piece in my book, but such a gorgeous, classic look that I know I will get lots of wear out of it- from work, to special events, church, date nights, etc.
You can dress it up or down by swapping out heels for sandals, layering a jean jacket, adding a pop of color in a purse, belt, etc.
This jump suit is lightweight and versatile with a round neckline and gorgeous V dip in the back. It has drapey wide legs, cuffed sleeves and an optional belt…and pockets! Plus, it’s made of our breathable, wrinkle-resistant Japanese GoWeave fabric that’s perfect for warm weather and travel. (In fact, I reviewed a few of their GoWeave pieces here.) I went with the size 6, and it fits perfectly without too much extra fabric in the midsection.
They also make other cuts of jumpsuits and dresses in this GoWeave fabric, in a wide variety of colors and price points (some on final sale!) that you can check out here. The fabric is truly amazing because it breathes and doesn’t wrinkle up, perfect for warmer weather!
