This week is a busy one, but I'm scheduling in my workouts (I feel so much better when I sweat each day), and making some go-to easy meals to get us through the week! On the workout and meal plan: Thursday // Smoked sausage skillet for dinner since we ended up not making it last week, plus tuning in for a live Peloton spin ride before we head out of town. Friday // Out of town at my parents for a family wedding so using my Peloton app to do four 10-minute strength workouts. The app is SO Read More
Workout + Meal Plan: Week of July 8, 2019
I'm trying something new on the blog: Over on Instagram, I asked if you'd be interested in seeing a weekly blog post about my workout and meal plan...and I heard back that you wanted it. So here it is! Personally, I love reading other bloggers' plans for the week...it gives me motivation and ideas for my own menu and fitness. And I figure if I share my plans, it will keep me accountable too. I typically plan my menus to start on Wednesdays, which is also when I grocery shop. It's also Read More
September Fitness Check In
In the past, summer has been my season for a busy race schedule. And while I still love a good race, it's a bit more challenging this season with a toddler and a now 3 month old. Regardless, I still love to be active and aim to work up a sweat 5 days a week. My current workout schedule consists of 2-3 days of spinning, 1-2 days of strength training and 1 day a week to actually run (which is usually pushing my three year old for a 5k loop in my neighborhood.) For quite a while, I was crushing Read More

Here's where my head is at: Running: Hit several PRs last year and really enjoy getting some races on my calendar to look forward to. Since going back to work full-time, I doubt I'll be able to train for another half, but would love to get these races on the calendar: January: S-No-W Fun Run, Lake Geneva, WI (5 miles)- DONE! Things I’m Loving Thursday
Believe it or not, treadmill workouts. I've got a bunch of great interval workouts that I've accumulated over the years, and I've found that it really helps with my speedwork and builds a nice foundation when it becomes nice enough to get back outside. Yeah...I run because I really, really like dessert. Justin's organic peanut butter cups are the bomb dot com. Milk chocolate and dark chocolate are equally delicious. I will never go back to Reese's peanut butter cups ever again after Read More
Finding Time for Fitness
Luna Pullover Hood | Solstice Sports Bra | Satellite Pieced Legging Whether you’re a working gal, student or a new mom like me, I think we can all agree that finding time to work out isn’t the easiest thing. Without a doubt, we always feel good afterwards, but life often gets in the way and fitness gets pushed lower and lower on the priority list. So today I'm sharing a bit about how I’m learning to find time for fitness while balancing motherhood and work and a social life. Luna Pullover Read More
Lazy Saturday Reading
Here are a few finds from the interwebs for some lazy Saturday reading... Most people wear about 20% of their closet 80% of the time. Are you one of those people? Does anyone else love Dick's Sporting Goods new advertising campaign for women as much as I do? These prep ahead bowls look delish! (I'm all about the freezer meals/prep ahead food these days- it's been wonderful not having to worry about prepping dinner with a five week old! Mommy reads from fellow bloggers: Thoughts on Read More
