Since turning 35 last month, I wanted to focus more on improving various aspects of my health and well being: from skin and beauty care to food to vitamins and supplements. Today, I’m covering vitamins sharing a review of Persona VitaminPacks, personalized daily vitamin packs.
I’ve always been curious to try something like this– the model seems to make so much sense and is so convenient- no bottles or sorting, just customized daily packs to make it easy to remember to take.
First, a little more about the company I tried…
Persona is a vitamin subscription service that provides a convenient 28-day supply of vitamins and supplements in daily packs that are recommended for your unique needs.
Each customer who takes Persona’s quick questionnaire receives unique supplement recommendations based on their specific needs, offering 85+ high-quality supplements (including vegan options). Plus, they automatically analyze over 2,500 prescription medications to ensure there are no interactions with your supplements.
For someone that previously just took a multivitamin (and Vitamin D in the winter), I liked that Persona nutritionists helped me assess my supplement needs, instead of me blindly guessing what I should take on my own. Their custom packs help me feel confident that I’m getting the right doses of the right supplements at the right time. Plus, I can just toss the packs in my bag instead of rummaging through bottles or taking the time to make my own packs.
Persona had me enter a bunch of basic information like my gender, age, whether I was pregnant or breastfeeding, and if I followed any special diets. They also asked about allergies, how many servings of certain types of food I eat each day, and about topics like drinking, smoking, and how active I am. There were also more in-depth health questions about specific conditions. The whole thing took me less than 10 minutes.
*Persona is currently the only company to offer CBD in pill form.
Persona suggested seven different products to address all of my concerns- one set for morning, and another for the evening. Of course, you can always remove anything you don’t want, and add supplements a la cart. I added a box of collagen peptide sticks to mine. You can also discuss specifics about their recommendations with a nutritionist at any time, which is a very nice value add.
Both the morning and night packs come clearly marked with my name, a list of the pills included in the pack, and the time of day at which I’m supposed to take them. The packs themselves are in a big roll inside of a box, which acts as a dispenser and are perforated by pack.
The bottom line for me…
Persona took the guesswork out of which supplements I should take to address my body’s changing needs. I love that they give me easy access to real nutritionists, who can answer my specific questions. And having everything I need neatly divvied up into convenient packs is a real time saver. Persona’s website and app made changing my regimen super easy, and I like that I can always retake the assessment when aspects of my life or health change.
Overall, I felt great while taking these for the 28 days. It was a big adjustment for a 2 pill a day gal to take 14, but I noticed steady energy, improved skin tone and solid sleep (all concerns I had when I took my quiz).
My only hesitation is the price tag for all of the recommended supplements, especially given the number of supplements Persona recommended I take. But I do have full control over what I get, and I know that I can always turn to their staff for guidance.
I’d recommend it if you don’t know where to start when choosing your vitamins and want a simple, convenient way to supplement your regular diet!
