I like to get festive every now and then and dress for the holiday. And this outfit has just a hint of V-Day flair for the office. Speaking of Valentine’s Day plans, the hubs got us tickets to see a hockey game in Milwaukee! It’s my first hockey game and he got us seats right on the glass at the middle of the rink, so I can “truly experience hockey at its finest.” Nothing says romance like men fighting on ice, right?!
What are your Valentine’s Day plans?
And if you’re looking for more V-Day inspired looks, check out last year’s post for some ideas!

Oh we’re SO romantic on Valentine’s Day, too. We’re ordering carry-out thai and renting a red box.
It’s not really our “thing”…. lol
Oh we are SO romantic on Valentine’s Day, too. We’re getting carry-out thai food and renting a red box.
Obviously it’s not really our “thing”. Ah whatev.
That totally sounds like us. The hockey game is a big deal for us (actually, it just happened to fall on Vday haha.) Which Redbox are you thinking of getting?
Most likely Captain Phillips or Rush. Both movies we’ve wanted to see, just haven’t gotten around to it…
We rented Captain Phillips recently- it was very good! I may have cried like a baby at the end. Ugly sobs. You have been warned :-)
That blazer fits you so well and is a great color! I am really liking all your looks from last year, too. It’s nice that there are touches of pink, but could still be appropriate before or after Valentine’s Day!
Thanks Laura- I love that Target blazer and actually have it in a few colors because the price and quality is so great!
Haha, I great title of your post! And that outfit looks great to wear around the office on V-day! Come by Patti Cake and enter my Valentine’s Day giveaway! Cheers lovely!

Thanks Chelsey! I was in a “Mean Girls” mindset when I started to write the post, I suppose!
Thanks for linking up! I love this outfit – stripes are always a good idea!
Thanks Andi! Love that you had a link up for the whole week to feature a variety of Vday looks!
The pink blazer and striped skirt make a perfect pair!
Thanks Inge- I love this color combo whether it’s Vday or not!
I love this! I’m crazy about your skirt, I think I need to go to JC Penney and look for it.
I seriously love this skirt! I just started wearing non-solid color skirts and this one fits so well! Plus, JCP has coupons all the time :-)
I need a new pink blazer (mine is too small across the shoulders now). I wonder if Target still has that one in the stores somewhere…
Is it not available online? I saw just a couple camel colored ones at my Target a few weeks ago, but they are all on clearance so it gets pretty messy in the racks! Will let you know if I come across one!
It looks like they have the pink one on the model photo but not as a color option to actually buy (other than in plus size).
OH boo! Will keep an eye out for ya ;-)
You are wearing a color combo that I really love. Black and white looks so amazing against hot pink. For Valentines Day I am taking my son to a cupcake shop and we are going to have some mom son bonding time. He is at that sweet age of 6, where he still thinks mommy is pretty cool:-)

I totally agree- love that color combo! And I think the cupcake shop idea is SO cute! I bet he will just love it! Happy VDay!
Haha I like that y’all are doing the typical date night. Cute outfits, love the pink with the stripes!

Yeah we usually do dinner and a movie so this is a little different for us! Thanks for reading Stephanie!
You are going to have so much fun at the game! We might see RoboCop. Last year we made a heart shaped pizza, and I thought that was fun, too! :) We are lowkey about the “holiday.” :)
I love the heart shaped pizza idea- too cute! We are pretty low key too…the hockey game just ended up being on THAT day…usually dinner and a movie works for me! (Oh, and chocolate.)
This is such a pretty way to incorporate Valentine’s Day into a work outfit. Love the mix of pink, and B&W stripes! Thank you for joining the trend spin linkup! :)

Thanks for linking up with us, Valerie! I love your outfit for today – that blazer is so bright and cheerful, and I also like your striped skirt!
