It’s no secret: I mostly wear the same clothes over and over again. As much as I love seeing cute/trendy/new outfits on other bloggers, I can’t (and shouldn’t) try to keep up. My closet is already full of items that I’ve curated over the years, my lifestyle is such that I am wearing casual clothes the majority of the time, and most importantly: I’ve got financial goals on my mind. And all that shopping adds up!
So, since I am always reaching for the same clothes, I feel like I should try that KonMari method on my closet— or the KonMari meets Capsule hybrid. Maybe I won’t miss the items that I don’t reach for if they aren’t there? But I just can’t part with getting rid of my clothes, because I know the moment I get rid of it, I’ll want to wear it again. Maybe the solution is just putting those items that don’t spark joy or make me happy in a different closet so it’s outta sight. That way, they are still around if I really need them. And then my closet looks less crazy and I can truly reach for what I wear. I’m very tempted…
Have you tried the KonMari method? I’m curious! Did you miss anything?

A very simple but chic look. I want my two pairs of Hunters (in the not so far future) to be a dark green and a red pair. Love that herringbone vest too.
Hope baby boy is doing well. Is he 1 yet?
Welcome by Valerie. Ada. =)
Those colors would be perfect! I think I’d like to add a black pair myself :-) And baby boy is doing great! He’ll be 1 in April, believe it or not! Thanks so much Ada!
Honestly I am not tempted at getting rid of that much of my closet! I just love options! And I don’t feel like my closet is overwhelming right now. I have a buy one/get rid of one policy and that really helps (even if I cheat sometimes). Loving the houndstooth and stripes!
I do too…that’s why I’m kind of struggling- but I like your one in one out policy…smart!
I’m limited on new things I can buy so I’m not sure if I could get rid of much in my closet. This is such a cute relaxed look! I love your herringbone vest and those green Hunters!

Yeah it’s tough to part with stuff, which is why I want to hang on to everything and just make smart choices moving forward. Thanks Jill!
Love how you mixed those two patters together, Valerie! You look so pretty :)
