Mom Style #36 // The J.Crew Puffer Vest Copycat for Under $25

I’m all about a good deal when it comes to shopping. I just love finding ways to save money, like combining sales with cash back sites like Ebates and Splender…or finding copycat pieces that are a fraction of the cost.

Like the vest I’m wearing.

I’m sure you’ve seen the cute, classic quilted puffer vests from J.Crew. I love them, but for $120, that would take a major hit on my annual clothing budget. Even the version of the same vest from J.Crew Factory is priced at $50. But this one? It’s just under $25.  Wonder where it’s from? You’ll never guess…it’s from Sam’s Club.

Yep, I found this beauty while I was shopping for cases of fruit and diapers in bulk. Totally random, but so glad I found it. It comes in four colors and is made with real down. My store doesn’t have them anymore, but it appears it is fully stocked online. I got mine in a medium and it fits true to size.

I paired it with all black as my base so the vest would pop, but this cream vest truly goes with everything from prints to solids. Nice and cozy as a transitional layering piece too.

Now I need to resist the urge to get it in another color…

Find any good copycat items lately? Please share!

    • Over the last five+ years of being a mom, my style has evolved quite a bit. Gone are the days of being dressed for the office every day. Now my work-from-home life meets stay-at-home mom life requires what I wear to be both comfortable and practical without sacrificing style. I still love getting myself put together for the day, even if that means a day of working at home, running errands and playing outside. So I put together three practical yet stylish outfits featuring some tried and true clothing favorites from @everlane, a brand I love for quality, ethically made items.
    • I’m sure you can relate…for those of you working from home/quarantining, you can’t resist the gravitational pull of the kitchen for a snack, am I right?! I’m sharing a roundup of some of my favorite snacks that span salty, savory and sweet. Whether it’s an after school snack, road trip supply, Netflix/sports accompaniment, family movie night or just a little pick-me-up, I’ve got ya covered with options that you won’t feel guilty about later since these snacks are all comprised of a simple, clean ingredients. Read about them at the-style-files.com. #linkinprofile #ad #momsmeet #lovecorn @momsmeet @lovecorn_snacks
    • We enjoyed some gorgeous greenery at the domes today. It was like we were on a tropical island with all the lush vegetation... almost In awe of such beauty, especially when snow is stacked high and temps are so low all around us.
    • #ad No matter what your dietary preferences might be, give @planetoat a try! I started a few years ago when I ditched the coffee creamer and now opt for a non dairy option. Planet Oat now has unsweetened flavors (original and vanilla) with zero grams of sugar and just 45 calories per serving! The taste is great, creamy and works well straight up in a glass, in coffee as a creamer substitute or mixed in a smoothie or overnight oats. Lately, I' src='http://the-style-files.com/wp-content/plugins/instagram-slider-widget/assets/image.png' class='GraphSidecar' style='opacity: 0;'>
