Some days, do you feel like you stare into your closet and just draw a blank on putting together an outfit? Some days I need a little outfit inspiration, and for that- I turn to my trusty Pinterest style board. This outfit was one that I recreated based on this pin. It’s a great transition outfit between summer and fall, with the balance of the sandals and my favorite fall black and white check plaid pattern.
So when in doubt, go back to your style boards and use those hundreds of pins you have. It’s a great way to shop your own closet and find outfits you didn’t think you had! I know I’ll be doing that much more as I pare down my wardrobe. Some of my favorite style inspirations? My current most pinned outfit inspirations include Hi Sugarplums, Thoughts by Natalie, Franish the Blog, Anne in Residence, Veronika’s Blushing and Putting Me Together.
PS- for those of you that have mentioned the background behind me, this is a newly finished project for T and I. After building floating shelves in the bathroom (see the blog posts here), we built longer ones in the dining room. You can see a photo here on Instagram (@stylefilesvalerie). The buffet is from Marshalls HomeGoods…love that place!
PPS- Calling all Chicagoland gals: Join me for a FREE private barre class at the soon-to-open The Barre Code Vernon Hills! If you’re a barre addict or curious to try, this is for you. Leave a comment if you’d like to join me!
