I’m thrilled to be co-hosting with Lauren from Fizz & Frosting for her Mix It Mondays link up! As you know, ever since I adjusted my clothing resolution, I’ve been trying to remix my wardrobe so it’s a perfect fit!
Today’s remix features a geometric print skirt. I had been eyeing this skirt at J.Crew Factory for a while and it paid to wait it out…I got it on clearance for $19.99!
In the first look, I went with a layering effect with a navy shirt and a fuchsia cardigan over it. I completed it with gray tights and boots, and some gold-based jewelry. In the second look, I went for a more classic look with a white button up and cognac accessories in the belt and boots.
Shop the look!
Look #1:
Cardigan: Loft Outlet (similar)
Skirt: J. Crew Factory (this season’s version)
Tights: Target
Boots: Steve Madden (similar)
Look #2:
Shirt: Ann Taylor Factory (similar, similar)
Skirt: J. Crew Factory (this season’s version)
Belt: Target
Boots: Aldo
Earrings: Ann Taylor
Now I’d love to see how you’re remixing your wardrobe!

I absolutely ADORE this skirt – and love how you styled it! Sometimes simple looks are the most chic and you nailed it girl!

Aww thank you so much Justyn- I appreciate it! Classic and simple is always a good way to go!
This skirt is gorgeous! And what a great deal too! Thanks so much for co-hosting with me this week!!
Thanks Lauren- I enjoyed co-hosting with you today- hope to do it again soon! :-)
Gosh, I REALLY like that skirt! I am always drawn to geometric patterns! And I think I have a sweater similar to that purple one! :)
P.S. eww, no me gusta this season’s skirts!
I know right?!?!?! Eeeew. Not so much.
I love that skirt! I love that you waited out for such a good deal. I really like it both ways!
Thanks Ashley- it was tough to wait but well worth it! :-)
Great skirt, both ways you’ve styled it are great!
Thanks Inge! I can’t wait to remix it even more- such a fun skirt!
Cute geometric skirt! I found your site through Fizz & Frosting… Great tips on budget shopping – something I need to work on.

Thanks for reading Lisa! I love finding a good bargain! Be sure to check out my blog posts on how to save money with Target (http://the-style-files.com/how-to-save-money-and-score-deals-at-target/) and Ebates (http://the-style-files.com/ebates/)!
I eyed that skirt for a long time, too, but couldn’t come up with a reason to buy yet ANOTHER pencil skirt :-) Kind of wish I hadn’t talked myself out of it, though :-)
I realized that I had a ton of solid colored skirts in my closet so figured I needed to add some patterns to my collection! It’s not too late :-) JCP has coupons now (or at least did when I got this a couple months ago) so it was around $15!
I wish there was a JCP in the city. I see so many cute things from there online but there isn’t one close to me at all.
Super cute, Valerie! I’m always hesitant to buy skirts like this because I’m not sure how many different ways I can wear them, and since I’m not one who likes to repeat outfits, I worry that they won’t be versatile enough for me. I really should just get over this, because this skirt (and others like it) is too cute to pass up!! I love both outfits!
I felt the exact same way until I saw another blogger (Tara @ Mix and Match Fashion) style this skirt. It totally helps to see it on someone else first!
