Today’s Pantone color for the Spring Color Challenge is Linen. I could have taken it literally and went with my new linen shorts from Loft, but I opted to go with the general color. Sometimes that linen color can be tricky as it can wash me out, so I decided to add my coral infinity scarf to give the outfit an extra pop. Infinity scarves are one of my favorite accessory–it’s half scarf, half necklace- GENIUS!
Shoes: TOMS (wore as a bridesmaid last fall!)
Jeans: AE
Sweater: Old Navy (similar)
Scarf: J.Crew Factory (coral not available, but there are other nice colors!)
And although I’d like to participate in Jenni’s Blog Every Day in May Challenge, I just don’t see it happening, but I will jump in on today’s topic!
Day 2, Thursday: Educate us on something you know a lot about or are good at. Take any approach you’d like (serious and educational or funny and sarcastic).
My list would include items like:
-couponing/finding good deals (in fact, everything I bought above was either on sale and/or had a coupon! I also coupon a ton at the grocery store and drug store…)
-marketing/social media/PR– I work in this field, so I would hope I know a little somethin somethin! :-)
-eating chocolate and other baked goods. I’m a champ.
-Bravo TV programming, particularly The Real Housewives. PS- when are they doing a Real Housewives of Chicago?!
What would be on your list?
And here’s my Pantone recap from earlier in the week:

Thank you for linking up! I love that scarf.
My pleasure Lindsay. Thanks!
I have such a short torso that I always feel silly wearing an infinity scarf without wrapping it around like four times :-)
Yeah it all depends on the length–it can be a super droopy necklace or a weird turtleneck type setup so making sure it lands in the right spot can be tricky!
I really like the outift! Scarves are my favorite and those TOMS are great – what a great idea for wedding footwear!
Thanks Carly! I was happy I got some use out of shoes from a wedding- yay!
Cute! I love scarves as well. I have made many infinity scarves!
I would love to make those! They seem relatively easy, right?!
Buying clothes on sale/ with a coupon is definitely a skill worth sharing.
Thanks Leelee! I’ll have to do a post sometime on that :-)
I wanted to wear TOMS for my wedding, but they didn’t go with my dress. Boooo. I did my post on how to avoid doing laundry, although I don’t think many people need help with that! =)
Yeah they were quite comfy! Haha that is hilarious and a true skill :-)
You know, I’ve been thinking about getting a coral scarf and this totally makes up my mind. What a difference a pop of color makes! I’d still love to see your linen shorts sometime :)
It really adds a pop of color with a fun scarf! And coral is such a beautiful color- especially with darker hair like yours! And don’t worry- those shorts made their debut when we had 80 degree weather so I will have to blog about them soon! Thanks Marissa!
I love infinity scarves, and I’ve been looking for a nice coral colored scarf for AGES! I love this one! I also really like your sweater – it looks so versatile and remixable :)

I was too and I love the detailing on the edges! I had this sweater in B&W stripes first and then saw this color combo and knew it would be super remixable! :-)
I love your list. And that eating chocolate is on it. I am good at photoshop. Think… editing blemishes, swapping heads from other photos, making things look real that didn’t happen. Ha ha.
I love turning my scarves in to infinity scarves! I am doing that with one today! :)
Heck yes- I am a CHAMP at eating chocolate anything :-) Photoshop guru?! I’ll have to remember that :-) Do you just tie the ends? I’ve tried to do that and I get a big obvious knot that ultimately ends up on my neck…ugh!
I used to just tie the ends, but then got annoyed with the knot too, so now I safety pin it! Much flatter!
GENIUS!!!!!
Love!!! You can teach me about coupon-ing all you want :)
I think I will do a series of posts on how to save money at various stores like Target, etc. :-) Be on the lookout!
