Happy Monday friends! No outfit post today, but wanted to share some of the recent action that has been happening on Instagram (because you know if you don’t put it up there, it doesn’t happen…clearly.)

A couple weekends ago, T and I decided to paint our kitchen (nesting much?!) When we bought our home, we went with a bold, vibrant red. It was really pretty against the white cabinets, but after a few years, we were ready for a change. It was a quick weekend project, cost about $30 and makes a HUGE world of difference. I don’t have before/after shots, except this one in the sitting area, but I LOVE the gray we went with. It’s so clean, modern and fresh. Really opens up the space!
Recently tried out another Pinterest recipe: Loaded Cauliflower & Chicken Casserole (source). Super tasty…almost like a loaded baked potato! Nice way to get in those veggies, too!
I’ve been rocking out to Pentatonix’s latest album: while I cook, clean or am on the treadmill- you name it. (Baby P loves it too.) They are an a capella group that won the (first?) season of NBC’s The Sing Off and just yesterday, they won a Grammy. They are seriously legit. I pretend I’m in their group and sing and dance along…just glad no one is watching. Oh, and did I mention they will be appearing in Pitch Perfect 2 coming out this summer?! I cannot wait!
And lastly, that face. I just can’t. Turns out Izzy isn’t a water-lovin dog…she is a snow princess! She’ll bulldoze her way through the snow with her nose and throw herself snow in the air and catch (and eat) it. Such a cute fur baby.
What’s going on with you? Any fun projects? Last delish thing you ate? What are you listening to?
The gray color you chose is perfect! Very serene. And I am pinning that recipe now!
Thanks Laura! We are SO pleased with the end result. And I meant to tell you! Last night, we made that One Pot Tomato Basil Pasta you recommended. It was seriously SO delicious! That recipe is definitely a keeper…thanks for sharing it!
No DIY projects over here…but I have been making tons of new recipes! I prepped stuff for breakfast bowls yesterday and I was thankful for that today. Have a great week!
I’ll have to give those bowls a try– sounds yummy! Hope your week is stellar, Katie!
You always inspire me with your DAY projects. My list continues to grow because the projects are more in J’s capabilities, but instead of doing the projects on the honey-do list, we’ve been planning our trips for this year….I don’t mind! I recently found a new resale shop and got two beautiful cabinets for my office for $40 each, woohoo!

Izzy seems to love the snow as much as we do!
I’ll be honest- a lot of projects are for the hubs these days :-) But planning trips sounds like SO much fun! What’s on the list for this year?!
And what a great find for those cabinets- way to go! Do you have to paint them or anything?
So far we’ve decided on a trip to Cozumel (can’t wait to go diving!), and Hawaii (a family trip to celebrate the in-laws big 50th anniversary). Currently discussing a canoe trip up in Wisconsin. We sure do get antsy! As far as my fabulously cheap cabinets, I’m going to have to sand & paint them. I just decided on my final colors for the office, now I have to pick what accent to do the cabinets & desk. Can’t wait!
JEALOUS! Those sound so great! And I remember you talking about Hawaii…
Wisconsin sounds fun too- whereabouts? I love that you guys do fun, active trips!
What colors are you going with for the office? I can’t wait to see some before/after shots, which I’m sure you will post on Facebook- I hope!
It’s the Namekagon River in Wisconsin for just a few days of camping and canoeing. Can’t wait!
My office will be warm tones of cream, brown and a light blue. Very relaxing. I am still trying to decide what colors will go where. Every day I change my mind! I’ll get there eventually and share my before/after pics of course.
That sounds like a blast! And the office colors are sooo pretty- but you’re right–half the battle is figuring out how to use the colors, it’s so hard! Good luck (and I’m sure you’ll hit up TJ’s/Marshall’s to get some matching accessories of course?! lol)
I need to check out the new PTX album!
The new paint color looks fab! You guys are the DIY masters! :D
Kim- it’s SO good…you’ll definitely want it for a workout playlist..super catchy! And glad the paint color seems to be well received- we love it too! Such a drastic change with just a coat (or two) of paint!
I LOVE Pentatonix! They’re SO amazing!!!
I’d totally quit my job to be an a capella singer, not gonna lie :-)
