Influenster Sugar ‘n Spice Voxbox Review

I recently joined a community called Influenster, a free-to-join community of invited trendsetters who live to give opinions of products and experiences.  According to their website, Influenster is a place for culture junkies to come together and share their unique opinions of products and experiences. Active members of Influenster get exclusive access to deals, promotions, and swag from brands that thrive off the input (the good, the bad, and the ugly — they just want to know what’s up).

I had joined a few months ago and have had a fun time completing surveys, writing reviews and engaging in social media with brands and products I have used…and as a result, I was recently rewarded with the Sugar n’ Spice VoxBox!

It came stocked full of awesome products…I was like a kid on Christmas morning going through all my goodies!

Now that I’ve had a chance to try them out, I wanted to review each item and give my two cents.

I received the Colgate Optic White mouthwash, toothpaste and toothbrush. The toothpaste which whitens teeth in 1 week, and I think I can see a subtle difference on my teeth which is awesome!  I also tried the mouthwash, which protects against future stains BUT the taste is pretty gross and leaves a nasty aftertaste too.  Honestly, I would prefer to stick with my Crest ProHealth mouthwash, which tastes WAY better!  And I normally use an electric toothbrush, but I do plan to take the manual toothbrush with my on my upcoming cruise to try the whitening cups and polishing bristles- it looks like it is a good manual brush!

The Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer is wonderful!  At first, I thought it was a self-tanner, but then realized it was a lotion in a spray.  I liked that it is easy to apply and goes on in an even coat without any waste.  It absorbs really quickly, so I can get dressed right away without having to wait for the lotion to dry.  And unlike some other lotions, it didn’t feel greasy at all…I hate that!

I’ve heard a lot about the effectiveness of witch hazel, so was excited to receive a full box of Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel Oil Controlling Towelettes.  Witch Hazel is a gentle botanical extract that cleans really well. And it is perfect for people with sensitive skin as its controls oil and fight blemishes without over drying.  I definitely felt clean after using these on my face.  I have to say, though, the scent of the witch hazel isn’t the nicest scent, but if it can tackle my breakouts without drying out my skin, I can handle the smell!  I used these at night before I went to bed, but I plan to put some of the small travel packets are in my purse, gym bag or office if I need to freshen up!

This full sized box of NECTRESSE Sweetener packets taste like sugar, but doesn’t contain any calories.  It is created with the sweet extract of monk fruit and combined with other natural sweeteners. It’s 100% natural, which I love.  I tried it as a replacement to Splenda in my coffee and really enjoyed it (although I didn’t taste much of a difference versus Splenda). But I do plan to try some of their recipes and use it as a replacement for sugar (and Splenda) in my baking and see if there is any difference!

And to top it off, I received the belVita Breakfast Biscuits. Holy cow.  These cookies breakfast biscuits are so delicious!  I got the cinnamon variety and really loved the taste.  They had the perfect amount of sweetness for a breakfast food, although I would eat these as a snack or as part of my lunch too!  Plus, they are packed full of fiber, B-vitamins, and whole grains…and there were lots of cookies in a single serving!   I plan to pick some of these up at the grocery store to enjoy for breakfast/snacks, as fuel for a workout, etc.
