I’ve been hearing all about Kate Hudson’s new fitness apparel line called Fabletics and decided to give it a try. Fabletics claims to be in the same boat as “premium” fitness brands like Lululemon, Athletics, Nike and Adidas to name a few, but at a fraction of the cost.
How does it work?
1) Create Your Lifestyle Profile
2) Receive Personalized Outfits – Each month, you’ll find new outfits hand-selected just for you and your workouts.
3) Shop! – Buy the outfits you love or skip the month altogether. There’s never any obligation to buy.
You can always check out as a regular member and just shop for what you want, when you want. Or, you can sign up as a VIP Member. You are charged $49.95 every month, but it’s a savings of up to 40% over buying as a regular member. Then, you can buy an outfit you love each month or skip the month altogether and use your credit for another time. And shipping is free, and they do accept returns and exchanges.
Plus, if you refer two friends and they make a VIP purchase, you receive enough reward points for a free outfit! You can also rack up points by making purchases and reviewing products. (Please note- this post contains my referral link. Thanks in advance if you use it!)
They have an assortment of tops, tanks, tees, casual tops, performance tops, sports bras, hoodies, jackets, leggings, pants and shorts. I opted to go for the Enliven set with the Jackson tank in black and the Lima capris in lavender.
I went with a size medium in the top and large on the bottom. Here what it looked like on:
The top is really unique from other fitness tanks out there since it has the open racer back and a looser body. It’d be great for yoga or low impact exercise as it has removable cups inside, but for higher impact activity, I’d definitely include a sports bra (which could look cool layered underneath!) It also had a zipper pouch at the side, which I love in case my bottoms don’t have pockets.
The capris are SUPER soft and comfortable, too and have a pouch as well.
In the end, I wasn’t super crazy about the color of the capris. The light colors aren’t the most slimming on me, so I exchanged them for black (and as a result, I switched the top from black to teal.) Completing that process was super easy and they are already on their way!
Overall, I’m pleased with the quality and especially the new member pricing and the ability to earn points for future purchases. Definitely excited to see what additional inventory they add over time, too.
What do I have my eye on next? This outfit (Versital T, Inga leggings) looks perfect for lounging around or running errands…it would be perfect with my trusty Hunter boots and add an oversized sweater or chunky scarf!
And right now, they have a great deal for new VIP members, where you get get a two piece outfit for just $25. I took advantage of the deal because hey, you can’t beat an entire workout outfit for that! Sign up here.
Have you tried Fabletics? Love it or hate it?
PS- It’s your last chance to enter to win a $25 credit to Erin Condren! Seriously awesome planners and other fun stuff! Enter here.
This reminds me of that subscription active wear program that bloggers were talking about last year (but then a bunch of them quit because they said the quality was so low). It’s a fun idea if you don’t have many workout clothes and don’t want to go pick them out yourself. Do you think you will stay subscribed each month?
Hmm- I wonder what brand that was? The quality on this is actually quite good and I’ve heard fantastic feedback on these capris- excited to test them out for runs…and for lounging :-) I think it’s a nice treat/motivation to get some fun new things! I plan to continue my subscription– definitely want to try their bike shorts for summer running! Hoping they introduce more styles as time goes on because some of the tops are a little plain or too “sexy” for my workout uses aka not supportive enough! We will see!
Man, I had to search all over but I found it – http://www.pvbody.com/. Seems they closed it though. Yikes!
I hope you get lots of good stuff you love! Does this mean we won’t be Kohl’s twins anymore?! :(
My coworker and I were just talking about this deal- I think I may do it. Not that I really need new workout clothes, but… well…. you can’t pass up a good deal, right?
My thoughts EXACTLY. And you can always cancel after you get the intro offer! But I think your employer should provide a free Fabletics membership to all its employees right?! ;-) I will say- the fabric in their capris is seriously comfy- excited to try their shorts in the same material once summer rolls around. Let me know what you think if you end up going for it!
That is a great deal and I like that the tank top isn’t tight in the stomach area. I don’t think you look bad in the lighter colors, but I bet the teal and black will look nice together!
Yes! Love the fitted top and loose bottom of it! I’m excited to see the teal/black combo in person..always a nice treat/motivation to get some new workout attire in the mail. Thanks Laura :-)
