I am definitely of the mindset that workout clothes can be great motivation when it comes to your fitness routine. So today, I’m sharing the details of my workout routine and partnering with Everlane to show you their Perform line that does it all–premium lightweight compression, sweat-wicking properties, affordable price points and ethically made.
Everlane’s new Perform line is simply a dream. It’s high quality and functional and at a reasonable price point. The pieces are soft and comfortable and the fit is fantastic. You can purchase items individually, or they also sell sets where you can mix and match colors and styles!
I also love that all their pieces can easily be transitioned from workout to athleisure wear or even paired with other pieces to make great casual outfits, too.
Let’s dive into each of the pieces I’m wearing…
Everlane Perform Bra (shop it here)
This bra is SO comfortable! It reminds me of the bras from Girlfriend Collective if you’ve ever tried them. It has a scoop front and back andfeatures a double-layered lining for added comfort (and support), an elastic band for a no-fuss fit, and lightweight compression with technical sweat-wicking properties. Plus, it’s comprised of 58% recycled nylon. I used the size charts and went up to a size large (I am a 36B with broad shoulders), but I think a medium would fit too for a little extra support for high impact activities. It works for mid impact workouts in this size I’d say. Plus, I wear it with non workouts clothes because it’s so comfy and seamless- doesn’t show through on shirts…love it!
Everlane Perform Tank (shop it here)
This tank has a built-in shelf bra with an easy, form-fitting cut, and lightweight compression with technical sweat-wicking properties. Again, very comfortable and I found myself reaching to wear this under sweaters in place of a bra. It’s just enough coverage if you don’t want to work out in a sports bra and so cute! I went with a large according to their size charts (I am usually a medium in tops) and the fit is good- I didn’t want it any tighter.
Everlane Perform Leggings (shop it here)
Made of premium performance fabric from a renowned Italian mill, the Perform Legging features an extra-high waist, minimal seams, an interior pocket, and lightweight compression with technical sweat-wicking properties. Plus, it’s comprised of 58% recycled nylon. I just got my first pair of Align Lululemon leggings recently, and I have to say these are super close, and at half the price. They are SO comfortable and stay put during workouts. I also have them in black (styled here) and they’ve held up really well. I am wearing medium and say it’s true to size.
Having workout clothing that not only supports you and fits well during workouts is key, but I find it’s also a great motivator to when you have a new outfit to put some extra spring in your step!
I’ve been sticking to a new-to-me workout routine since June, and have really been loving it. The focus is more on strength training (vs the heavy cardio that dominated my workouts previously).
I’ve been using the Madeline Moves Weekly Moves app along with Peloton. Each day focuses on a different muscle group and uses weights, resistance bands or even body weight. I’ve really noticed an improvement in my strength and endurance, noticing that I run faster/longer and bike harder. The workouts take anywhere from 45 min to 60 minutes, and I get it in when I can depending on the day, sometimes splitting up the strength and Peloton portions to book end the day.
The MM program also includes cardio throughout the week, and for that I turn to my Peloton- using either the app to do runs on my treadmill (or outside), or the bike. The MM program is 5 days a week, but I add a 6th day and do a longer Peloton bootcamp because they are just.go.good. (Use my code KCSBNB for $100 off if you are looking to buy their newly released bike or tread!)
And all the hard work takes place here:
This space is really coming together as I’ve acquired a few pieces like the bench and weight set, and had that handy husband of mine make some pieces to hang to add some flair and function to the space. I just love it!
