Friends of ours recently had a housewarming party, and I was scratching my head on what to get them. But then I took to good ‘ol Pinterest and found this idea and got to shopping. Who couldn’t use supplies like these for their home? Practical and such a fun talking piece at a party!
I consider myself to be a couponer, so I made a list of the things that I needed and watched for sales and combined it with my coupons. Most of the items I got at CVS– my go-to for toiletries, beauty, health items and other non-food “stuff.” If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I love me a good deal (see here and here for a couple examples).
Then I used packing tape to secure everything together, wrapped it with ribbon on each tier, added a bow on top and a “Happy New Home” note (free printable found here.)
And there you have it! A three-tiered tower of home essentials. Such a fun DIY housewarming gift! And if DIY isn’t your route, here are some fun gift options to consider.
What would you bring to a housewarming party? Do you have a DIY housewarming gift idea? Share in the comments!
Great gift idea! My coworker was just joking the other day that the next housewarming party she goes to she is going to take a giant Costco sized thing of toilet paper! I am a huge fan of practical gifts so this is awesome!
I would honestly love getting a giant supply of TP…I mean, it’s super practical and I KNOW I would use it! ;-) That or a Costco membership would be a great gift idea too come to think of it!
What an adorable idea! I love how it turned out and it’s so perfect for new home owners!
Thanks Laura! It was so easy to put together (much easier than a diaper cake tower haha!)
