December 2014 Clothing Budget (Maternity Edition):
Work/Casual Wear:
-Mama v-neck multicolor blouse via H&M: $30 [exact]
Originally ordered a large and it was HUGE, so hoping the medium will fit well once it arrives. Super cute gathered back.
-Floral peasant blouse via Loft: $33 [exact]
Took advantage of a recent 50% off + free shipping sale to see what Loft maternity items are like. This one’s a keeper! Looks best belted.
-Maternity sequin stripe tee via Loft: $26 [exact]
Great tee, perfect for under cardigans too!
-Maternity ponte pants via Target: $25 [exact]
A little nicer quality than the leggings I have and definitely not see through. Perfect for work!
-Open layering cardigan sweater (in cream and olive) via Target:$15 each [exact]- now on clearance!
Cozy and warm cardigans that can be remixed to the max! Ordered these online…hoping they arrive soon!
-Open layering sweater via Target: $15 [exact]
-Herringbone puffer vest via Groopdealz: $36 (sold out)
I owned a J.Crew-inspired herringbone vest but when I saw this higher quality version, I opted to sell my old one on eBay and put the proceeds towards this. Can’t wait till I can zip this over my belly/chest!
-Short sleeve v-neck maternity tee via Destination Maternity: $8 [exact]
I had a gift card and took advantage of a B1G1free clearance sale and got the four pieces in this row for $8 out of pocket. Overall, not super impressed with the quality of these pieces but they are nice to wear around the house!
-Short sleeve side ruched maternity sweater [exact]
-Scoop neck maternity tank top in blue and oat [exact]
Activewear:
-Sweating for Two short sleeve tee via For Two Fitness: $8 after gift card (won in giveaway!) [exact]
Got this in a medium and it was super snug- so I suggest sizing up! Still waiting to get my exchange in the mail…hurry up already!
-LA Isla High Impact Sports Bra via Amazon: $18 (used gift card) [exact]
An affordable copycat to Moving Comfort sports bras…but just be careful on sizing. You literally want to order 2 sizes up (band and cup!)
-Training for Two tank via Zulily: $35
Had to take advantage of a recent Zulily sale where For Two Fitness gear was marked down!
Misc/Accessories:
-Liz Lange chevron maternity swimsuit via Target: $30 [exact]
Got this adorable swimsuit for our upcoming trip to Florida in January. SO cute with the chevron print…and love the criss-cross straps at the back!
-Black herringbone medium open top top via Lands’ End: $38 [exact]
These totes are supposed to be incredibly durable and super functional. I got this as a little Christmas present to myself and got it personalized. Perfect for carrying my Kindle, planner, snacks, wallet, etc.
-Kendra Scott inspired black tassel necklace via Boone Belles: $15
I’ve been looking for a lookalike at a decent price and found it at this cute NC boutique. I won a giveaway for a tartan blanket scarf and Kendra Scott inspired earrings and asked them to add this to my prize package!
=$331 for December
-$78 in income earned
=$253 total
Yeah, I spent quite a bit this month, but I did come in under last month. Now that I have a decent amount of maternity items that actually fit, I should be good for a bit. Hoping to go on a bit of a “spending freeze” for the rest of the winter months if I can (or at least buy items I truly need.) Then, come March or April, I’ll likely pick up a couple spring items or dress for the baby shower!
How did you do this month?

Yay I’m glad you found a Kendra Scott inspired necklace! You will love it, I’m sure :) You found some great items for layering/remixing too! And I love those workout tops! SO cute!!
I did find one, thank you! :-) And I can’t wait to wear those workout tops to the gym!
Really cute items! I especially like your new swimsuit, tote, and necklace!
Thanks Laura! I can’t wait to get some sun in that swimsuit! And just got an email that the tote is backordered yet again until mid January…ugh! Worth the wait though!
I love all of your cute clothes!!! I discovered the best, best, best tees during this last pregnancy. I wore them the entire pregnancy and for a long time post partum too. Even my sis in law loved them! They are gaps pure body maternity line. Grab a couple and you won’t regret it! I was sad when they became too big :(
Aww thank you Emily! Will definitely have to check those out- thanks for the tip!
