I only thought it’d be appropriate in throw in another green look to keep the St. Patrick’s Day theme going…check out my two looks from Monday here.
Shop the look-

Blouse: Target (on clearance!)
Jeans: American Eagle
Boots: Aldo (option)
Earrings: Ann Taylor
I decided to piggyback on Anne’s “Currently” post and do a version of my own…so here goes!
Current Netflix/TV Obsession: On Netflix, I’ve already binged watched House of Cards and am eagerly awaiting the release of the next season of Orange is the New Black. I can’t wait to try Breaking Bad…clearly, I’m behind all the cool kids. Also love watching Rules of Engagement right before bed- I need something lighthearted after watching that heavier stuff! As for TV- I’m a Real Housewives junkie and have been hooked on The Little Couple. Their kids are SO dang cute!
Current Running Revelation: Running on the treadmill isn’t so bad when you’ve got some good TV for distraction. I’ve also been doing a lot more intervals and speedwork, so it helps me build my endurance!
Currently Looking Forward To: An official start to spring with some warmer weather and no more polar vortexes so I can wear less layers and run outside! Also looking forward to my first race of the year next month, bridesmaiding it up in two weddings, and the Wisconsin Half in May!
Current Book: Luckily, I’ve joined my first book club, so I’ve been much more motivated to read! I also want to read David & Goliath and on the lighter side, the newest Kate Collins Flower Shop Mystery books (I did some PR work for the author back in college so it’s near and dear to my heart- and the books take place in my college town!)
Current Drink: This Chocolate Chip Frappe McDonald’s dupe. So delicious (and even better when you don’t follow the directions and use the super rich hot chocolate.)
Current Fashion Trend: I see so many fashion bloggers out there that have perfect photos with amazing backdrops and professional makeup, and they wear these ridiculous outfits that you will never see in real life. I mean really, tulle skirts don’t work for anyone unless you are Sarah Jessica Parker. In fact, per Anne’s suggestion, I plan to host a linkup on April Fools Day (4/1) where I feature what should be the best trend ever: sweatpants and loungewear! Bust out the elastic waistbands and your favorite race tee or ratty high school t-shirt from back in the day……it will be epic.
Current Love: Speaking of loungewear, have to go with my Fabletics leggings. Can’t stop wearing them! And Bath and Body Works 3-wick candles…currently burning Take me to Tahiti. Yes please?!
Current Food: Chicken lemon rice soup and chili. I’m all about the warm stuff that you can make in batches for quick and easy dinners!
Current Indulgence: Chocolate cake from Maggiano’s. Death by chocolate would be totally fine with me.
Current Peeve: When people leave that “X” stitch in their skirts or coats. Annoys the crap out of me! It’s supposed to be taken out after you buy it! I’ve been seeing a ton of this at work….arrrgh!
Your turn! Answer one/several of these in the comments!
And congratulations to Emily, who won the PetBox giveaway!

Um, I am currently OBSESSED with House of Cards. I have to stop myself from watching it while the hubs is at work but we’re almost through season two and I can’t believe it took me until last week to find this show! You look fabulous – loving the pop of green!
xo
Oh that’s gotta be tough to have to wait for him to watch it together! Pure torture! Thanks for reading Justyn!
Love the kelly green with navy! And did you see the 1st RHoBH reunion? Can’t wait for the 2nd! I haven’t tried Chicken lemon rice soup, but it’s on my pinterest board, now I think I will have to add it to the menu for next week! (and I always want to cut those Xs off for people-it’s so silly looking)
Thanks Laura! And I haven’t seen it yet…did it air recently? I’ll have to watch it while I’m the treadmill this weekend! I bet it’s super ridiculous-eeee!
It aired sometime early this week, Monday I think? I just DVR it all so I never really know! ;)
I JUST watched it! Craziness! Brandi is nutso…
I enjoyed reading your answers. My fashion trend is maxi dresses for the warmer weather days. :)
Thanks Rachel- glad you enjoyed! LOOOVE maxi dresses! Oh I can’t wait for that…
I love this top and am actually planning to wear it with my blazer again soon. Very cute!
Oh love it! I sense a Style Swap coming very soon- will keep an eye out for how you style it!
Oh yeah, I always wonder how people can walk in a pencil skirt when the slit is still “x” stitched together! Your green blouse is lovely!
I know–it’s a little bit of a “waddle” since they don’t have as much movement…too funny! Thanks Rachel!
Okay, everyone is talking about House of Cards and I feel like I am missing out! I need to get on board!
And yes to silly fashion trends. I would totally join you for an April Fool’s link-up :)
Oh my goodness- it is SO good…and addicting! Glad Netflix doesn’t have commercials- makes for excellent binging.
Would LOVE if you can join me for the link up! So excited!!
I love that green shirt~ looks great on you!

Thank you Stephanie!
I live in the stone age and have a netflix dvd subscription, not streaming, so I’ve been missing out on some of these series! Love your green top!
Oh Inge- it’s the best! Definitely a time suck though when you get hooked on a series!
Pretty sure I’ve accidentally left the stitching in a blazer or skirt pleat before. But, yeah, I do wonder if people know they’re supposed to remove those….
On accident I totally get…but the people that have no clue drive me bonkers!!!
Now that Breaking Bad and House of Cards are both over, I feel like the rest of TV is terrible! :)
I love that color on you!
Oh I know right?! There’s nothing left to watch haha! Orange is the New Black comes in June…can’t wait for that on Netflix!
I can relate to your feelings on fashion bloggers wearing tulle skirts and wonder 1) where are they going and 2) can I come because I would love a reason to wear one.
I adore the bright green and navy together and I’m so looking forward to spring!
EXACTLY! Happy first official day of spring :-)
Ha ha! That cracks me up that the X stitch thing bothers you! I have forgotten, then get all excited when I go to cut it (so fun to cut!).
Hey! You didn’t tell me if you are doing that 10 miler? :)
Oh it totally does- I see it ALL the time. And I know we are scheduled to do a group run that weekend so unless you have a conflict, I think I’ll stick with a local buddy run! :-)
I will probably be at a race that Saturday am but can run that Sunday, if you still want to! :)
Ooh I work from home on April 1st… totally into your linkup :)
YES! Would love if you can join! Woo hoo!
Such a cute outfit, Valerie! I love the look of a top, blazer, jeans, and boots :) I love the “currently” format…here are my answers!
Current Netflix/TV Obsession: Kevin and I have been watching An Idiot Abroad before we go to bed…and when I get the spare chance on my own, I’ve been trying to catch up on my Grey’s Anatomy, ha! :) I’m ready to be done with grad school so I can watch more Netflix :)
Currently Looking Forward To: This weekend’s warm weather, graduating in May, and getting a job!
Current Fashion Trend: Okay, your answer to this question was awesome – I HATE tulle skirts on anyone over age 5. I agree with you about the ridiculous fashion blogger outfits too – they can be so obnoxious, haha.
Current Love: Milk Duds. Luckily, I can only eat about five at a time because otherwise they make my jaw hurt, haha. It’s my body’s way of keeping me from eating a whole box in one sitting…which I totally could do, and absolutely should not do, haha.
Current Indulgence: See above answer ;)
