Happy Tuesday! I’m still catching up from the whirlwind wedding weekend, but I can tell you that it was a blast! (Click here to see a sneak peek of the photos from the photographer’s blog- she did a great job…and the Milwaukee lakefront was the perfect backdrop!)
In other news, here is an outfit I wore recently with a chambray shirt and “linen city mini skirt”—a bit on the casual side, but still put together. I got this skirt at a local consignment store (where I sell all the clothes/accessories I no longer want) and stumbled upon this J.Crew skirt. AND…it still had the tags on it! It was originally priced at $79.50 I think, but I got it for just under $16 after a 20% off sale at the consignment store (oh, and I may have gotten a super cute moisture-wicking hot pink long sleeve top with thumb holes…like I said before, I can’t resist fun workout clothes!)
What were you up to this weekend? Any good consignment store finds lately?
How funny- I wore an almost identical outfit for Heather’s baby shower- the same polka dot chambray and a lace skirt from the loft- the EXACT same color as your skirt. Obviously a great combo!
No way– twinsies?! That sounds super cute with lace! Well done lady! PS- I’ve been reading along on your blog- love the design and all your posts- I’m living vicariously through your overseas adventures!
ah, I want that skirt! I keep looking at the factory version, but it’s always a little more than I want to spend. And I’ve never been able to decide what color to get. They are in the “cheap enough” category right now, but out of my size! Oh well, it’s not like I need any more skirts.
It looks super cute with the chambray. But then again, doesn’t everything?!
The color is always such a tough choice for me…luckily, the decision was already made for me! I like this version better than the JCF version– my navy one from there is a stiff linen compared to the J. Crew one so if you end up getting one over the over I’d definitely go with J. Crew!
I love that skirt! The color is adorable!
Thank you so much Laura- it’s SO comfortable- love the waistband!
I have that same top and it’s one of my favorites. It looks great with that linen mini!
I’m also totally jealous of your consignment score! I think I might have to hit up my local shop soon. I haven’t had the greatest luck with finding the right style/size combos on consignment, so I should be due a lucky shopping break ;-)
Cheers!

Twinsies!! You never know what you’ll find…it’s so fun! I’ve heard good things about a consignment chain called The Clothes Mentor- not sure if you have those by you but worth checking out- all name brand stuff!
That’s amazing. I swear I can never find good deals. Great outfit. So versatile.
