Just before December arrived, I was done with Christmas shopping for the kids. It felt so good to be "ahead of the game" so to speak so I could slow down and truly enjoy the Christmas season with my family.I set a budget and made a very intentional list – along with prices and who was getting what – and edited the list a bit, too, and then I got to shopping. To keep things simple and purposeful, we adopted the "something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read" Read More

A Sports Themed Party for Bryce’s 4th Birthday
Still in disbelief that Bryce is 4 years old now... As I get ready to prep for Blake's 1st birthday (what?!), I realized I still wanted to share a few photos from Bryce's 4th birthday party last month! Man, time really does fly by. Anyways, we held his party at our local park district, where they did a sports theme and had the kiddos play games in the gym, do obstacle course races, sports, etc. then did birthday cake and snacks in a party room. Minimalism Style: Mama Needs Dry Shampoo and Duck Booties
This outfit has been a go-to outfit formula for me lately: leggings + cozy top + a finishing pieces like necklace or a scarf. Perfect for days at home with a toddler. Then I make simple swaps based on my day: if there are errands outside the house, I might add a vest. Or if I want to squeeze in a workout in the basement, I replace the sweater with a tank top or t-shirt and get to it, because nap time=Mama’s productivity time. And I need that quiet time some days! Speaking of other things this Read More
