I picked up this adorable cargo jacket at a local consignment store and have been remixing it ever since. I love the feminine lace collar and the cinched waist! (I had another cargo jacket before I found this gem, and I also remixed it 7 different ways. Read it here.)

PS- What did you think of the Oscars?! The hubs and I went to a fantastic Oscars party where I proceeded to get almost all of my ballot incorrect, but hey- it was still a blast! We walked the red carpet as a throwback couple from the Great Gatsby era… (and my dress and shoes were from Goodwill!)

I really love your jacket! The sateen makes it look dressier than the version I have. So perfect for work and the weekend!
Thank you Lauren! I was SUPER lucky to spot it at the consignment store.
Love the stripey look for the office!
Thanks! Me too- that striped skirt is a real wardrobe workhorse for work haha!
I have had a cargo jacket on my list for a while – I’m so jealous you picked it up at a thrift store!
I was SUPER lucky to spot it…I tried two other cargo jackets before getting this one- it’s a process to find the right one that still gives you a shape but isn’t too fitted.
I love the ways you mixed the jacket! The office look is really fun :)
And I LOVED your Oscars costume party!!! When do you think you will wear the dress next?! :)
Thanks Kim! That striped skirt is a winner–clearly..even the Oscar Academy thought so!
Not sure when I’ll wear the dress next…I think I got my 6.99 out of it though! I love fun occasions to dress up like that…let’s see- what can our next dress up party be?! Hmmm…
We better come up with something! :)
That Oscars dress was a great find!!
Thanks Erin! I couldn’t believe it when I saw the label: 100% silk and from Cache!
Confession, I didn’t even watch the Oscars at all. I just like to look at the pretty dresses in pictures the next day. :) That jacket is an amazing consignment find and I love all of your styling options for it. Especially the hot pink scarf with it- I might have to steal that. :) Thanks for linking up today! -Gina

That’s the best way to get the recap is just browsing through photos or watching Fashion Police on E! And steal away :-) Thanks Gina!
I really enjoy your remixes! They are truly inspiring and showcase the versatility of your focus piece! And OMG how adorable are you in your Oscar party look! So jealous! Wish I had an Oscar party to go to! I didn’t actually watch it, but if I could have dressed up like that – I would have!! Thanks for linking up!!
Thank you so much Carylee- that makes my day! I usually sit on the couch and watch it but was excited to have a party this time around–dressing up is so much fun every now and again!
You look amazing!!!!! Love that dress!!!!! Jennifer Garner wore something similar on the carpet.
Love your cargo jacket. So versatile.

Ah! Your jacket is so, so cute. I love all the outfits you created with it! Now that I have a cargo jacket of my own, I’m realizing just how versatile it is! :)
Thank you Brynn! Seriously- it’s my favorite go-to piece since it goes with everything and can be dressed up or down!
i really love these olive colored cargo/military style jackets. the remixable factor is endless and as you’ve shown, they work just as well casually as they do dressier for the office! i thrifted a similar jacket not too long ago and i’m excited to continue finding different ways to wear it! thanks for the inspiration!
You are so welcome Heidi- can’t wait to see what you come up with!
