Talk about being comfy from head to toe! I wore this out for a quick lunch with a friend when it was rather chilly outside. The waffleweave tunic sweater is nice and warm, and I added a pink scarf for some contrast (and let’s be honest–to match it to my new boots!)
I was on the hunt for a nice pair of boots, and was lucky enough to find these bad boys from Sorel. I had sold my previous pair on eBay and applied the funds to purchase these. Problem is- they are super hard to find and available in limited sizes. But…I ended up getting them on eBay for $20 less than retail (score!) The colors and design are definitely my style and, and the cut of the boot makes my size 9 feet look pretty tiny believe it or not! Gotta love those boots with the furrrrr…
I’ll probably wear this outfit again this weekend for Valentine’s Day. Because let’s face it: I’m all about comfort these days. And it’s just enough of a subtle hint of pink. And T and I plan to run a few errands, park it on the couch, eat homemade cheesecake and binge watch House of Cards. I’m just being honest. What are your plans?

So cute! I love the pink! I feel like my Joan of Arctic Sorels make my feet look HUGE but I don’t really care because they keep my feet dry :-)
Jason and I had plans to order pizza and sit on the couch but then my brother made dinner reservations at some place in Wicker Park so now we have to decide if want to go out or not :-)
Thanks! I was debating on getting the Joan of Arctic version (reviews say it’s more heavy duty to protect against cold, but I couldn’t pass up this deal.) Those are great boots- it’s all about the function over fashion at the end of the day, right?!
Your plans sound awesome either way! Unfortunately, I just realized House of Cards doesn’t come out for another couple weeks- wa waaaa. I’m sure we will find something else. Kinda curious to see 50 Shades of Grey, but not on opening weekend.
Those boots were worth the hunt! They are cute and they look so warm. I really like the pink laces, too! I have been thinking about a pair of Sorels, but wasn’t sure if I could justify Hunters AND Sorels…maybe I just don’t have to! ;)
This version of the Sorels are cheaper than the heavier duty Joan of Arctic version, if it helps. Just keep an eye on eBay (especially after winter is over…I bet prices will be much lower!)
Great score on the boots, so cute! A relaxing Valentines Day sounds perfect. As for us, J is joining me at the barre. M.O.M.s is hosting another Bring Your Beau to the Barre on Valentines Day and I signed us up!
Thanks Kelly! And the barre night sounds like SO much fun! This will be the first time he’s gone right?! T and I are definitely joining you at some point for one of those…I really want him to understand what it’s all about…I think it’d be pretty funny :-)
Yes. It’s his first one. I’m excited for him to see how hard it is. He always jokingly asks if class was the hardest ever when I come home from one. I’ll keep you & T posted when they have another class!
Yes please do! Would LOVE to do it as a four-some with you guys…best double date ever!
You’re super cute, Valerie! You look sooo comfortable in this outfit, but still very appropriate for being out in public. Those boots are fun, too! I love the hint of pink :)
Thank you Brynn! It definitely was comfy, something I’m all about these days!
