Still in disbelief that Bryce is 4 years old now…
As I get ready to prep for Blake’s 1st birthday (what?!), I realized I still wanted to share a few photos from Bryce’s 4th birthday party last month! Man, time really does fly by.
Anyways, we held his party at our local park district, where they did a sports theme and had the kiddos play games in the gym, do obstacle course races, sports, etc. then did birthday cake and snacks in a party room.
The park district provided all the equipment as well as plates, utensils, tablecloths, etc. so that made it easy. I stuck with the party theme and opted to have sports centric food. Tried to keep it simple yet festive for the birthday boy. We got the cake at Costco with a sports theme too (SO delicious and SO big, and under $20!)
Peanut butter filled footballs and cheese ball basketballs // Used a white out pen to make a football design on brown paper bags so the kiddos could take a snack bag home with them too
Applesauce and peaches // Made a baseball design for applesauce (the top has a print on it, so I used the cardboard that came with the box of them), and basketball on the clear top of the peaches (mandarin oranges would work well too!)
Gatorade // used these printables to wrap the bottles (source here), also works well for water bottles!
Party favors // I’m not a fan of sending home kids with a bag of cheeky plastic toys that will entertain them for 3 minutes, so I opted to do a fun treat instead. Bryce helped me make no bake Oreo balls!
Directions: 1 package of oreos (not double stuff!) –> crumble up in a ziploc bag smash with a rolling pin or mallet. Mix in 1 package of cream cheese. Form into balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Pop in freezer to harden. Add a stick and coat in melted almond bark. Get back in fridge to set.
Happy birthday my sweet boy!
